awesome,November 3, 2009
By walleyeriverfrom Minnesota,MN
"Early this fall I was using one at a fairly deep hole in the cottonwood river. I casted twice and caught two walleyes.I prefer using firetigger and in like a smaller size. at this time of year i would preffer casting up stream and reall in slow so it sinks so you can catch the walleye down at the bottom. This is so you don't hook the leaves in the water."

Best Lure For Sand Bass,September 17, 2009
By fishingtexasfrom Little Elm, TX
"I've been clobbering the sand bass (white bass) here in Texas with the hammered nickel finish Daredevil in both the "Midget" and "Spinnie" sizes. When I lived up north I used the standard red and white with great success for trout and just had a hunch the hammered nickel would work on these Texas sandies and I was right. My two fishing buddies, native Texans, have become converts and now these Daredevils are the only lure they will use. While fishing these lures for sand bass we've also caught crappies, largemouth and even a catfish on 'em. It's a great lure."

Great for Northern Pike,September 1, 2009
By BGRHfrom Marietta, GA
"I have a fishing cabin in Canada. I use these all day long with a steel leader to catch Northern Pike. I cast them in the weeds and between stumps near shore and they always draw them out. I own about 40 different colors, but I have found that the yellow/red five of diamonds is a killer. If one stops working, throw on a different color. I have a wall full of them covered in teeth marks. They take a huge beating and hold up very well. Be sure to change your leader if it gets kinks in it. I learned this the hard way and lost a couple of these."

Dardevle spoon,August 25, 2009
By Greygaryfrom SF Bayarea, California
"The price is right. The hook must be replaced with a barbless hook to fish for salmon in California or British Columbia. You may also want to add a split ring in the leading hole to ease pressure on your leader."

Awesome spoon,August 20, 2009
By Ludaruefrom Grand Forks, ND
"I bought a couple of these spoons a while ago and couldn't be happier with how they entice the strike if fish, particularly northen pike. Went out with a friend to a small lake close to home one day, he was three up on me with pike at the beginning of the day until I tied on a 3/4 oz. red and white spoon from this company. I caught three pike right away and missed one pike that actually jumped about a foot out of the water right next to our boat while I was reeling it up for another cast. Also caught the biggest yellow pirch I have ever landed with the same exact lure. Great quality of lure and the hook is nice and sharp. Impressed!"

great product!,August 3, 2009
By SethfromVermontfrom St. Johnsbury, Vermont
"I've used these (red and white) (yellow five of diamonds) in 2/5 oz for Northern Pike and Pickerel, with good success.
These are better built than the Cabelas Canadian Spoons (hooks are sharper and finish lasts longer), but the CCS's are good as well, although the 2/5 original Daredevl is a must where I fish."

"I have believed all of the hype and I own probably 10 eppinger spoons. However, I just don't get the result out of these spoons that I achieve with the Williams Wabler in a similar size (gold and silver)."

Good spoons,June 17, 2009
By awaderfrom Franklin, PA
"Have had good luck with Dardevle spoons as well as other brands on northern pike and walleye in Canada. I prefer the 2/5th ounce size for my style of fishing. Firetiger is probably my favorite pattern. Would have given 5 stars but Dardevles are a little over priced compared to some other brands that fish very well if not better."

A must have,May 26, 2009
By NJanglerfrom Paramus, NJ
"This lure is absolutely deadly for pike, bass, pickerel, and trout. I fish waters for bass and pike that people pound with Senkos, Zooms, Mepps Spinners, etc. The fish have seen those lures a million times over. I toss my Daredevle and whack em', because they haven't seen the lure as much. In the past year I have caught two 5lb. Rainbows, a 26" pickerel, and six bass over 3 lbs. on my various Daredevles. It's also a great saltwater lure for stripers and blues. You gotta have one of these lures!"

"Can you say huge pike. get a rod that will hold the weight and then hold on. when they hit thease spoons your in for some real fun.
I catch more fish and more varieties of fish on spoons than any other type of lure.

Dardevle,December 30, 2008
By mastermixfrom West Michigan
"Purchased the pink diamond dardevle for pike and musky fishing in West Michigan. Have not used it yet but the dardevle is my go to lure. Currently have too many to count, sorry never too many dardevles in a tackle box! Have used them for many years with much success trolling and casting. Very durable lure. 5 star plus!"

Early Autumn Walleyes,October 22, 2008
By 10crappiefrom Lawton, OK
"I used the Daredevl spoons for walleye at the mouth of an inlet to a large lake during September and early October. I found them very effective on both walleye and white bass. I caught around 70 white bass and probably 15 walleye. The walleye ran from fourteen inches (legal keepers) to 31 inches. I also caught many undersize walleye."

High lakes fishing,September 2, 2008
By Cutsfrom Oregon
"I just got back from 7 days in the Eagle Cap Wilderness Area, northeast corner of the state of Oregon. Last visited in 1970. Just like before, the best lures for those Eastern Brooks were the Red & White original Dardevle spoon and the Yellow & Green Dardevle spoon. Plenty of 6"-8" Trout in Mirror and Moccasin lakes, and up to 14" in Crescent and Douglas lakes. The larger trout have more color on their skin and a deep pink to their bodies. The backpack into this area, up the Lostine River drainage, is a bit of a chore, but once there the scenery is as beautiful as it gets. I didn't get to Horseshoe Lake like back in the 70's, but that only gives me a reason to come back soon. Next time, I won't wait 38 years to drop another Dardevle into these beautiful lakes."
