"I had some carpet go bad up at the front where the trolling motor is. I cut some of this matting to go there and it worked great. I just used some screws to hold it down."

"I love the matting, it looks good, is non-skid, dresses up the trailer and is easy to work with. But!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as everybody else says the glue will not hold when it gets wet. Floated off when the trailer went in the water. I reinstalied it with a glue I got from the big box store. What glue to use? Big question??????????????? This stuff seems to be expensive but Cabelas appears to be the only easy source. I am going to buy some more to replace carpeting on my trailer."

"I bought the self adhesive rubber mat looking for a quick and easy way to make a few areas no skid on my boat deck. I followed the directions to the letter, but the mat did not stick at all. I suspect that the adhesive pulled off with the backing. The mat itself is GOOD, but I would not buy another piece of it in this form. I'd rather find a lower price option because I had to go find another adhesive to get it to hold anyway."

"This matting was easy to cut and install. Works good and matches what was already in my boat. I just wanted to cover some more high traffic areas. Worked great on trailer tongue also. Would have given 5 stars but the price was a little high I thought. Have recommended to several friends already."

"the matting itself is of good quality however the peel and stick contact cement is not waterproof and the matts come off when placed in the water. i cleaned everything off and purchased some waterproof cement from a local distributer and they matts seem to work fine now."

"The cables in the splash well were scrubbing the clear coat on my boat. I made a pattern of the area that I wanted to protect. I cut the Diamond matting to the pattern and placed it in the splash well. It looks great and protects the scuffed area. I am sure that I will find other applications for this product on my boat and trailer."

"I installed this product on the top of my fenders a week ago and the adhessive has already started to fail!! The matting itself is great but now I am going to have to remove the matting from the top of my fenders and try to remove the adhessive from both the fender and the matting material and try some other type of glue material. The price is right but I could do without the adhessive failure!!"

"The Diamond Mats worked great for my intended use, which was to make step pads for the top cap of my bass boat and also on the tops of my trailer fenders. The only problem I encountered was, the shippers beat up the shipping box pretty good and some of the removable backing protection was damaged slightly, which made drawing the outline of my cuts a little difficult. The mats were also folded, which caused the backing to pull away from the mats at the folds, again making it a little difficult in drawing the outlines. Perhaps these mats could be shipped in a flat, stiff, container in the future. Other than the shipping problems, I was very satisified with the product."

"The diamond matting is an excellent product that adds safety when you are getting in or out of the boat or stepping on the trailer wheel well. It is easy to cut with a scissor and can be shaped however you like. Finally you can get dealer OEM matting without having to go through a dealer. The matting is easy to install, just peal back the liner and press on the surface you wish to install the matting on. It's nice having the matting in a larger size. You no longer have to piece the smaller mattings inorder to achieve the mat size you need. The adhesive does not peel free of matting once applied to the boat or trailer surface. Would highly recommend."
