"I received this item very quickly. The concept is good. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is horrible. The item arrive with pieces of the box stuck to it, most of the box was gone. The gusset was missing on the hitch bar. The short tubes on the saddle are mis aligned causing the carrier bars to be lopsided. The sliding ramp receivers are made of round stock and are not welded. WOW does this thing have a lot of play, it moves all over the place. I wound up keeping the carrier. I put the unit in a vise and while the bolts were loose I move everything around until it was close to being square and WELDED it everywhere. I adjust it to the height I needed and welded that connection too. I added a gusset to the hitch bar and ran some 2” strap steel from the end bar to the hitch bar on both sides. The play is gone. I also added a custom anti rattle receiver plate. The web site states this item will hold 450# the instructions states it will hold 750#. I would not use this item, straight from the box."

"ATV carrier was not as pictured in catalog, it was advertised as new and improved with added weight capacity, it was missing the part that was welded where the horizontal and the vertical parts connect for strength. I returned the carrier that was said to be defective. It was replaced with another one that was exactly the same as the first. I had a piece welded on it at my own expense and it is OK now. I just received a new catalog today 9/13/08 showing the piece that was missing on the carrier that I purchased. I have always been satisfied with the items I have ordered in the past."

"The box was destroyed when it arrived. Assembled quickly. It does do what it was built for, but its a pain getting the quad in and out of the carrier. I'd rather leave my tailgate down and let the quad rest on it."

"When I got this it had some small damage and a few of the bolt holes took some work to get started.One of the brackets was bent and had to be pounded back into shape. The unit over all is wobbly in the hitch and I had to buy a heavy duty anti-tilt lock bracket to find the secure ride that I need. On the up side once all bugs got worked out it handles a Kawaski Brute force 750 with ease and gave me almost half of the truck bed for storage."

"Ordered my carrier on a Monday at 4:00PM. Reiceved it on Thursday at 2:30 PM.That is from Colorado to Arkansas. Thanks to Cabela's confirmation I was able to track it the whole way by computer using the UPS tracking system.I unpacked the parts and insrtuctions and layed them out. 30 minutes later it was on my Ford F-150 crewcab 4x4. Easiest thing I have put togather in years and it works great, plus you can use it as an extension for hauling lumber and you can mount a truck box on it if needed. Just be sure to secure it properly with tie downs. No PH.D. in engineering required and uses american wrenches.

"Works good ,took it to W.V with my ATV on it this weekend .everything went OK .And i put it to the test up and down and around some bad roads and it work great . Would like to see the whole top section welded together with a little larger pipes . and two side removeable braces from outside the top to the pin at the upright section . I think it would be alot stronger ."

"The overall design and idea is great for those of us who have a really short truck bed and do not want the added cost of using a trailer to transport your quad(i.e. cost of trailer, insurance on trailer, registration, fuel economy, etc.). I was rather excited about the atv carrier but became a little disappointed during assembly. I followed the instructions carefully, however the carrier was not level and flush. The other thing that was a little bothersome was that a few pieces of the hardware supplied would not work(bolts too short). After I got over those issues I put my quad on for a test run. I was pleased that it appeared to do the job it was intended to do. I will admit I drove extremely carefully, as it makes me a little nervous having a $7,000.00 piece of equipment hanging off the back of my truck. It held up well driving around town for a few hours, the straps stayed secure around the quad tires. The next test is transporting it to my lease which is about a three hour interstate drive. Be careful when you first use this product with a load, it could have the tendency to make your vehicle handle a little bit differently."

"This Product is must for anyone with a atv. It gets put together very easily, a few bolts and nuts and you added four feet to front of your truck bed. If like ice fishing like I do,this is must. I can now take my atv and portable shanty in the truck bed without having to cram everything in the back seat of my ext.cab chevy, just so my atv will fit. I am like many others out there, I love the outdoors with a small pocketbook so if you can't afford a trailer or another fancy atv carrier, this carrier will handle the job very well."

"I wasn't sure if this would be sturdy enough to hold my ATV beyond my tailgate but it is built very well & would hold an ATV much larger than mine. I can now use my short bed truck instaed of my trailer to go places to ride the ATV. This is a very good item. The only thing I would tell everyone is to watch what ramp you purchase as this will only take a folding ramp that is less than 46-1/2" wide."
