"I purchased this light a few days ago and went night-fishing the same day it came in the mail. The light opperates on 6 "D" cell batteries and lasts for about 6 hours. I went fishing about 10 miles off the coast of Tampa, FL, and the light had no problem lighting my 30' boat for the entire fishing trip. I was so pleased with this light, I just ordered another one for lighting inside the cabin. A++++"
