"I bought this new addition to my 'tubing kit after seeing it in use by one of my Pike flyfishing mates. It's sturdy, secure and holds the fishfinder right in the position I want it. A fantastic, simple idea but the best ones always are!"

"Works well on my pontoon boat at a very slow troll, but is somewhat unstable (mount rotates from vertical) even at speed of slightly more than a very slow walk. I am only finning the boat, so don't go very fast. Needs some kind of vertical stabilization. I am trying to figure out a very thin strap to pass through the tube mount to give it the stability in the vetical frame of reference."

"I Have had no problems with this holster. It does not slide around. Sits down out of the way next to my rod holder.
Not hard to ajust if you use it on 2 differnt float tubes, but you can save yourself 5 min. or so if you get one for each tube."

"I bought this for a rod holder, thinking that the fish finder would be heavier and thus ok for a fishing rod/reel. Only problem is that if your pontoons are not really pumped, the holder web flexes and the rod will either be in front or back depending on your angle."

Much better than the old holster,

"For float tubing with the Fishin' Buddy, I used to use the old red cloth holster that would flop around and was next to useless. This new one is 10 times better and a good value for the money. This new holster maintains the Fishin' Buddy in an upright position quite nicely while paddling around. As was previously mentioned, you need to make sure the holster is strapped tightly onto your float tube. I wish that the strap was made so that one could connect the clip and then pull on the strap to tighten it. Otherwise, you have to fiddle with adjusting the strap, trying it on, fiddling with it again, trying it on again and so on. That's why I don't give it 5 stars. If you only have one float tube, then you only have to fiddle with this once, but if you have more than one float tube, you have to fiddle with this adjustment each time you use this holster on another float tube. Nevertheless, this holster works well and I recommend it for anyone who has a Fishin' Buddy and wants to use it on a float tube. For a pontoon boat or jon boat, I recommend the fixed transom mount, which is far more sturdy."

"This holster fit on my Outcast float tube, only thing must be real tight as it will slip and rotate on the tube. Alot better than the standard transom mount that comes with the fish finder."

"I use this fish finder and holster with my float tube.
This holster simply buckles around my tube and holds the fish finder in place to look for fish.
It has nice wide straps and a durable buckle. It holds the fish finder straight up and down so I get good reads on the screen.
It also helps secure the fish finder so I don't have to worry about it sinking to the bottom."
