"Don't buy it - enough said.
It doesn't even hold 4 rods with reels even though it was clearly designed to hold more. If I take the reels off of the rods they all fit nicely but the primary reason for purchasing the product was to hold my combos for a trip to Florida.
If I hadn't pulled off the tags it would be going back."

"Well made, good padding, a little tight at first but stretches to fit after a while. I sprayed mine with waterproofing because it sits in the back of my truck. Fits all the items listed in the catalogue."

"I bought this rod bag (the large one) based on Cabela's overall quality.... Despite some of the comments/reviews I read. After receiving the product, I would now have to agree with some of the reviews. The case will not hold all the rod/reel combos suggested in the sales literature. It will also not hold longer rods. It will hold a smaller number of my 6' to 6'6" rod/reel combos. I was also disappointed that the bag went on bargain sale right after I bought it."

"Bought this rod case to help reduce damage to our roads as they bounce around in the back of our 16' boat. Usually lose a rod or two each season to busted tips or the ceramic guides pop out due to banging the boat int he waves. Have used it half a season so far and it is working like a champ. Thinking about getting another one so I have one to store my salmon trolling rods someplace with some protection. Very nicely built. Looks to be durable"

This bag really met those requirements and I was surprised to find that the handles are placed in a location that helped to balance the bag while carrying it. The bag has met my expectations."

"This bag is a great storage bag. It is well constructed. The only change I would recommend is the bag having a support strip made of Velcro in the middle to give the rods more support. The bag is ideal for storing rods and tranporting to and from the boat and while at home."

"While a bit bulky, the 8 rod bag has held up well and protected 4 rods/reels with room to spare. On a recent fishing trip I placed the rod bag above the center console of my friend's boat and forgot about it. As we sped off to move to another spot, the bag bounced off the boat. Luckily the bag and its contents were easy to pluck off the bay as the bag floated. I could have easliy lost a couple of rods and reels had it not been for the bag - it paid for itself already!"

"after receiving this product i would not recommend it nor buy it again. it needs a piece of velcro in the middle of the bag which i had to buy myself and there is no way it will hold as many rods and reels as it says it will"

"The Pro Rod Bag was the ticket for the purpose I had in mind. I needed something to carry rods in my boat while traveling long distances to fish that didn't bang or roll around. I store my reels separately in a Cablela's reel case so storing rods with reels attached is not an issue for me. My only suggestion would be a velcro fastener midway to secure shorter ultra-light rods. The quality of the product is very good."

"I have a 8' one piece rod that I needed a case for.Which there isn't alot of cases for this size rod out there this case fit this rod and two more including their reels.The case is made with a strong outer cover (which is good looking)and a padded inner cover. I'm very pleased with my purchase."
