"I bought 3 of these reels for Striper, Flounder, and Black Sea Bass fishing in the northeast area spooled with 15 Lbs Mono. Metal spool and body makes this a very sturdy reel. they have excellant gear ratio, good drag system, and big handle to ease cranking. Most important is that they are reliable. I and 2 to 3 people fished with them from my boat all summer long and they still work perfectly. I have a lot of different reels some of which I paid a lot more. Sturdiness, features and dependebility of Salt Striker makes it a big winner, it is very reasonably priced."

"I bought two of the 30L models for fishing the Chesapeake Bay and occassional use at the ocean. I put them on Shakespeare Studry-Stik 20-40 lb rods, which turned out to be a good combination. The reels performed very good under the stress of some big striped bass and bluefish that love to test the quality of your drag. They are easy to spool up and easy to use. I like a nice simple reel and these fit the bill perfectly. I am planning on getting 2 of the 20L models for smaller stripers throughout the summer."
