"Excellent reel. A VERY good value. Compared it side by side with my buddy's high end Shimano and Daiwa tournament reels and it stacked up very well against them. In fact, IMO the Pfleuger is a bit smoother in retrieve.
Only downside would be that the 6750 model is a bit large and can get a little heavy after a 12 hour day on the river. I'm planning to return this reel for the next size down. Compromise is less line capacity, but the smaller version is much lighter."

"i bought this reel in feb. 09 to fish for walley. from the day i bought this reel i loved it. i have landed a ton of fish with this reel. i do alot of fishing and most of the reels i have purchased in the past dont last all season. after i reaserched all winter i decided to buy this reel and it hasnt let me down at all. i have caught everything from small mouth bass to 25 pound catfish to large striper. the drag system is top of the line i only use 6 pound test. best purchase ive ever made. i will be buying another here soon."

"I purchased the 6740 for use on Steelhead. Well, we had a good Chinook salmon run so went for those first. I love the reel and it is very smooth. The drag works great. I can cast a mile with it and be precise at the same time. Only thing I noticed is that when you are pulling in a 36" Chinook, the reel flexes, alot. So much that I was afraid the salmon was going to snap the reel right off the pole. I did land many in the 30"+ range and it did hold up, but I will be ordering a bigger reel for the upcoming Chinook/Steelhead season. I will use this reel for trout. I know it can handle any trout I can find after this salmon season. Great reel for the money."

"Currently have 4 of these reels, and just purchased 2 more today for the rest of the family. They just work great for the price. Extremely smooth, great drag adjustment, alaound great reel. Have used Abu Garcia, Penn, Shimano (my all time favorite, but WOW what a price tag), and again, for the money you just can't beat these things."
