"I had this gun for a few years and I'd say it's a pretty good gun.Although, it may not kill anything unless you're about 12 feet away from it."

fun little rifle,March 22, 2009
By thebestshotaroundfrom A volcano
"i have the wood stock version and i really like it it. It is accurate enough at about a 110 ft but it has limited power so it isn't really meant for long range at all. Perfect for distances of 50-75 ft. And i also like how lightweight it is, it's very pointable. Only thing that dosen't impress me is its power. I've tried it on pests and it will kill them but you need a well placed shot, but it is designed as a plinking gun."

Great gun for target,January 8, 2009
By BrianG16from Pembroke Pines, FL
"Great gun for target, I bough the 1077 model 15 years ago and pulled it out this week for some practice and it still shoots great, (0.5" groups at 15 yards) the mag holds 12 shots in a wheel which can be quickly reloaded. My model 1077 did not have the large CO2 shown on this model which I guess makes for more shots. I get with a small 12 gram CO2 about 40 shots, this says 400 which would make sense. Would be on the lower end of power for hunting, again great for target. Brian"

Crosman AS1077T - Good, but know it's limitations.,October 17, 2007
By AndyfromOhiofrom Ohio
"I purcahsed this air rifle for me to use to teach my son air rifling. This is a lightweight air rifle with decent open sights that I felt was a good, reliable training tool. What surprised me is how fun and accurate it is for me to shoot. I can consistently get 0.5" groups at 10m with hollow points. When I use this air rifle I put a scope on the rifle (simply because I prefer firing with a scoped air rifle), but the sights are fine. Now, here's where the limitations come in: 1) this is not a hunting air rifle. At only 0.177 caliber and sub 600 fps velocity it just doesn't pack the punch to take down anything more than a mouse, small bird, or a frog. 2) If you are using the large Air Source CO2 cartridges, you'll want to smooth the top of the cartgridge prior to inserting. I have noticed some burrs and rough edges on the Air Source cartridges that could lead to excessive wear and tear on the O-ring that prevents CO2 from leaking. And finally, 3) be sure to lube appropriately using the recommended lubricant. So, if you know the limitations of this air rifle and use it as intended you'll surely enjoy this rifle as much as I do."

tryed it, didn'd like it,March 28, 2007
By itsjustLEVfrom rural missouri
"If the guns sets for an hour you cannot depend on the 1st shot it strikes the target @ 1" low, if it sets 24 hours it strikes @ 3" low and 2" left and it takes 5 shots to come back to its set point. Also as the air source pack being used it will keep striking lower. If you are target shooting (firing rounds consistantly) the pattern is very consistant. Gun was returned for an upgrade, I only get 1 shot."

The Quick and The Dead,November 20, 2006
By Varmint12000from Wisconsin
"12 rapid shots at 600 Feet-Per-Second with deadly accuracy...and quiet. When you need a fast second or third shot to finish off that varmint that's been using your garden or flower bed as a salad bar, this is the air rifle for you. Great for indoor basement fun too. Hold shooting competitions with you family and friends...and with the included adapter for large gas cylinders you can shoot for weeks before changing cylinders. I'm a high-power rifle varmint hunter, and I enjoy the 1077 almost as much as the larger rifles...and...I keep my eye sharp for the big stuff. Try it...you won't be disappointed"
