The next generation of lead-acid batteries, our revolutionary Advanced Anglers series uses a separator similar to fiberglass to hold the electrolyte in place. This physical bond between the separator fibers, the lead plates and the container completely eliminates leaks and makes these some of the most vibration- and impact-resistant marine batteries on the market. These completely maintenance-free 12-volt batteries also play double duty on the water, serving as either a cranking battery or a deep-cycle power source. In testing, this revolutionary design withstood over 400 drain/charge cycles, giving them a life span far surpassing conventional batteries. Meets all EPA/OSHA marine requirements. FAA and DOT approved. 18-month warranty.

Excellent Battery, but needs bigger terminals,September 25, 2009
By 1Roninfrom Reno, Nevada
"I just installed the batteries, they definitely seem to have the advertised cranking power, which is significantly more than other group 27 or 31s AGMs including Optima. The only change I would make is for the battery to have larger diameter screws that were longer. When hooking them up in a boat with multiple lug cables it is quite a challenge to get the screw through all of the cable lugs and then into the battery."

Trolling Battery,August 15, 2009
By Timmer1968from Loveland, Colorado
"I read the reviews on many types of trolling batteries and picked this one. I have been out fishing all day, for three days in a row, using my trolling motor most of the time and did not need a re-charge. VERY happy with the battery. Thanks, Cabela's"

Battery is good but ....,August 11, 2009
By SharpShooter09from Lynchburg Va
"I bought the group 30 to use with an electric trap thrower. May have been over kill but the battery lasts all day.
The downside is the weight and strap. This battery is extremely heavy. The strap is not like the one in the picture - they have gone to a cheaper version.
Would buy again."

Great battery,July 14, 2009
By chitown1985bearsfrom Monmouth, IL
"I bought a battery very similiar to this one four years ago but I discovered it was discontinued when I needed one for my new boat. After searching the net, I decided to buy this one. I have used it now for three weeks and it is working great. I have a big block engine that needs a lot of power to turn it over and this is doing the job This one works great so far."

Awesome Product,June 22, 2009
By BTR1from Cary, Nc
"Product was well worth the money. I can not believe how it holds a charge all day while trolling. It has twice the power of a normal battery.
Customer service was really good. My order was delivered damaged. I called and recieved a new replacement battery in less than a week."

So Far...so Good,June 16, 2009
By AlbiePete
"This battery, from the few times I've used it, definetely holds the charge longer than a traditional lead acid battery. At the end of a day on the water I'm still showing a 50% charge!"

Great Value Great Battery,June 14, 2009
By docroanefrom Offerle, Ks
"I have only owned my first pair of Group 27 AGM Batteries for about 6 months but I can't say enough. I have a Minkota Terova 24 volt auto pilot and I live in Kansas. Fighting wind all day would almost wear down a new set of conventional Group 27 marine batteries. I had read the reviews and all the pluses and minuses and was a bit apprehensive. I made a trip to Cabela's KC store and after visiting with the gentleman working in that area that day, I purchased the set. Just got back from 2 days fishing on Table Rock. Found out when I pulled into the dock the first night that my on board charger was no longer working. I checked the battery capacity on the Terova and it showed 75% after a full day of fishing with it. Went out the second day and still had 50% after running it all day in rain and wind. I have spent a few days recently on the area lakes with 15 to 25 MPH winds. I have yet to run my batteries down! If they last as long as they say, I will be buying these batteries again. Oh, and as for the way they hook up, I read many of the reviews that stated that they need to buy some fancy adapter and I found that if you are putting this on your cranking battery, just go down to your hardware store and purchase a longer stainless bolt. Take one of your battery bolts with you to match up. Overall these are excellent batteries and I plan to puchase one for cranking in the very near future."

battery,May 4, 2009
By lourfrom Idaho
"I really haven't used it yet but I did put it in my boat to get ready and find the posts are not standard. I will either have to modify my wires or send the battery back. But I do appreciate the fact that it is waterproof and sealed."

You get what you pay for!,March 28, 2009
By HeyMikeyfrom Oneida, NY
"I used to have to buy a new trolling battery about every 2-3 years. I'm on my fifth year with one Advanced Angler battery and on my fourth year with another, so I'm actually saving money! When properly maintained with a good charging system, these batteries give outstanding performance. Even off the charger all winter, they hold a full charge and are ready to go in the spring. I'm anxious to see just how long these batteries will go!"

River Fishing,November 23, 2008
By GatorIfrom Milton , Fla.
"I have tried several differant brands of trolling batteries and have not found one that would hold up for a full day of fishing in river current. That was until I tried the AGM batteries from cabela's. These things are phenominal. Not only did they last for a full day in river current but I also was fighting a strong north Wind. At the end of the day I still had plenty of power. I run a 36 volt trolling motor so that I can fish very swift current. Again these are very strong batteries. I have no reservations in recommending them strongly."

Outstanding,October 31, 2008
By fisherdanfrom San Diego, California
"I bought three of these in hopes that they would relieve the headache that has been ordinary deep cycle wet cell trolling motor batteries. I have not been disappointed! I have used them from daylight til dark and still have full power at the end of the day. They recharge quickly and are ready to go the next morning. I use my trolling motor hard every time out and they haven't even shown a small sign of weakening. I would recommend them to anyone. I have read that some don't care for the posts on these batteries but I have no complaints as I use an onboard charger and never have to disconnect them once installed. If you want more power than you can use and absolutely zero maintenance then this is the battery for you."

House Batteries,October 17, 2008
By RoninNC
"Installed two batteries as house and starting batteries on a 33 foot sailboat. Will have to let you know how they held up in about three years. Pricewise, Cabela's beat two major marine equipment suppliers by significant amounts for basically the same features. Found the screw-in posts to be a little frustrating to deal with because of the number of washers available to drop in inaccessible places when dealing with multiple cables. I am very satisfied at this point."

Good Battery, not so ggod connectors,July 23, 2008
By RetiredChieffrom Northern California hunter and fisherman
"Cabela's Advanced Angler AGM Battery size 24 is perfect for my small aluminum boat. I have run the trolling motor off the battery for over seven hours without exhausting the battery's charge. This included fighting a headwind of 8 mph half the time. The only inconvenience with the battery is the small metric connecting bolts. I replaced the bolts with metric studs but standard sized battery connectors or metric studs with wing nuts would make this battery perfect."
