Cobela's Deluxe Game Shears,

"By far the worse product I ever bought from Cabela's.
The blade broke the first time I used it, on the first cut, I couldn't even believe my eyes. I wasn't even cutting anything hard. I have used many poultry shears and never seen anything like it. I gave it one star only because I couldn,t give it 0."

"I purchased these game shears a month or so ago. There are qualities I like and dislike. First off, I don't like that they used non-stainless washers. If you leave the shears to soak, there are parts that will rust and it's difficult to remove the rust stains. My girlfriend loves using shears, but finds that these are much too big for her hands. The problem being the top round handle.
I like the handle, but find that my hand fatigues faster than with smaller handled shears. I like how they cut, I like being able to set the shears against the cutting board and push on the round handle to cut through tough items. This shear can go through some pretty tough stuff. I haven't used it yet on game birds but I think it will be ideal, even for geese. I think my two recommendations to improve the product would be to make the top handle smaller, and use all stainless parts."

"I used my game shears on my most recent squirrel hunt and found them to be most useful.
It was much easier to cut the squirrel open, including it's rib cage with the shears than with any kind of knife. I makes cleaning the animal much easier and faster.
I DO like my shears. . . . ."

Great For Fishing,

"I use these shears to bleed my fish by snipping the gill plates. Some of the bottom fish I catch have really tough gills but these shears go right through them. Fishing the ocean with the salt water, it's a plus that these shears are stainless steel. The grip, being spring loaded and the lock are wonderful, I love them and you will too."

"I have used the same pair for 3 years and probably 300 birds of all sorts. Outside of the fact that the screw that holds the locking lever on fell out I think they are great. I always had a hard time fibding shears that did not pinch my fingers or hand. That can cause one to utter some bad words. These fit my hands and stay sharp for longer than I could have hoped. Great Sheers."

"i am very disappointed with this product....the shears are not sharp at all and it is very difficult to fit a duck wing joint bone into the notch of the shears, and then get the shears to cut through....i used them one time and pitched them back into my hunting box"
