"My dad got me a pair of these in 1992 when I started hunting. I rarely used them outside of hunting season. They have been a great pair of boots and I was dreading buying a different boot until I saw they are still made. Going to be ordering my second pair for this season. can't argue with success.
My pair have had a small leak for about three years in one of the heals. I sprayed sealant at the beginning of each season which helped. Towards the end of last season the leather started to pull away from the boot at the front (near the eyelets on both boots). They are still usable but I want to replace them now so my new pair are fully broken in in time.
On an average day of hunting I would put about 10 miles on these. I hunt about 7 days a year so I have well over a 1000 miles in them so far. Sole still has plenty of life left.
My only complaint is it I am sitting for more then a hour or so my toes got cold sometimes. The area I hunt in is very cold and I frequently hunt in knee to waist deep snow so I am asking alot from these. I prefer to just have one set of boot rather then two (one for beginning of the season and one for the end) so I just make due."

"This boot is excellent. I bought my first pair 6 years ago and they just started to leak. I certainly got my use out of them and I knew that I wanted the same pair again. This new pair seemed to take a bit longer to break in, but I am still as satisfied with this pair as my first. And six years from now, I know I'll want another pair!"

"Two years ago, my Rocky boots finally wore out and I was going to get another pair until I read all of the reviews. I ordered a pair of Cabela's Bruin's series boots instead and found them to be just as good if not better than my old Rockies. Breakin was minimal, they are dry and warm. The only thing that I would like is a quick lace system instead of eyelets all the way up. Thanks for a great product."

"I have been using these boots in cold rugged terrain in the mountains of far west Texas. They have lived up to every expectation I had for them. They keep my feet comfortable and have held together perfectly.

"i wore these boots hunting in hot and cold days of the PA hunting season. the boots were warm enough but the lack of tread allowed you to slip often when walking on the hillsides and the snow.. these boots would be good on more flat terrain. i cant state on the durability of this product since ive only had them a couple months."

"I ordered a pair of Bruin Boots after the soles on the Rocky boots I had just fell apart. I wear a size 10.5 so I orderd the Bruins in a size 11. When I recived them and tried them on they were way too tight and narrow so much so they sqeezed my toes togeather. I returned them but I had to pay the shipping costs back so I can't take a chance on another pair because the shipping costs are too high. I have allways had good luck with Cabelas boots in the past I have a pair of Rough Neck boots I bought from Cabelas they are the best boot I have ever owned."

"I got then when my rocky's decided to start shedding their soles all over the woods. Hopefully these will not do the same. So far so good. Pretty stiff to start but what boots are not. Right now I am wishing I got the EE size so I can wear an extra pair of socks. As they break in that may change. The are water proof so far, keep my feet warm and dry, and are comfortable to stand in."

"I returned the boots. They seem to be similar to the old Rocky boots; well made but impossible to keep snug on my feet. Tightening the laces without hooks to hold them in place is a challenge and there are other boots on the market. Unfortunately I like the all fabric construction as it is bullet proof. Change the lace system and you'll have a winner."
