Marine Starter-Up/Power-Up,August 17, 2009
By Noshoesnoshirtnoproblemfrom Hummelstown, Pa.
"I recently purchased a pontoon boat and was concerned about keeping the radio/CD player on as my family enjoyed hours on the water listening to music. Also we have a blender that uses battery power and of course just the thought of going down to the boat and the battery being dead just wouldn't do it for me. So I researched the net and the majority of chargers/jumpers also had lights and air compressors which I don't need. Anyway to make a long story short I found the marine starter-up/power-up to be just what what the Dr. ordered and that flipped my switch. I have not had it long but my brother-in-law had to borrow it already and it worked without fail. I would recommend this to anyone that just wants that little extra security. It can be carried anywhere and used on just about anything that needs 12v."

Good product,July 23, 2009
By Kuda1552from Point Pleasant, New Jersey
"I got stuck twice in recent months because I left my radio on in my car and the battery went dead. My fault. So as not to have to call AAA or find someone for a jump, I bought this jumper. I've used it a few times to help other people out in the same situation and it worked just fine."

Starter-up/Power Up,February 3, 2009
By MNpaulfrom Minnesota
"A nice little unit. I use it as an easy carry along jump start solution for my old (19 years) Jeep. It also goes with the RV to be used as a "boost" if we've run the battery low while stopped."

compact power source,December 30, 2008
By RWinBP
"I use these power packs for running dc appliances while camping. This is a very nice, very compact power source. It is about 1/2 the size of your standard power pack. I really like it and I will probably order another one soon."

could have better clamps,July 8, 2008
By longdog
"The unit seems to be what I was expecting. They could improve the quality of clamps on the cable. The ground cable broke before it was ever used . a good metal clamp would always be better than plastic."

It's New,July 7, 2008
By bodofishfrom WA
"So far I like the compact size. No extra stuff like flashlights or air compressors. It's much heavier than the previous ones I've owned. One huge bonus is the built in charger, all you need is an extension cord to charge it. No chargers to loose! The proof will be when it's pressed into service. Not something I use all the time but I like the backup. It goes onto the boat every time I go out, I'm sure I'll get to try it on somebody's boat sooner of later. After I see it start a boat with a dead batt, I'd give it a five."

"I purchased the Marine Power start-up to be on our pontoon boat to power the stereo during the night (so we don't drain our battery). It worked GREAT & I keep it in our truck for safety reasons. My wife & I are very satisfied!!!"

Marine starter up/Power up,November 21, 2006
By SoldierPaulfrom Crawfordville, Fl.
"I fish quite a bit, I have a 20 ft, boat. I have had the problem of low battery power when out for a full day. I purchased the Starter up/ power up unit. I go out for a full day, and use the unit to power my GPS,bait tank pumps, and VHS radio. I find at the end of the day there is still enough power to start my engine. and recharge my cell phone. This unit is my security blanket, it was one of the best investments I have ever made. I recommend this unit to anyone who has a boat or drives a car."
