"Just took out my canoe yesterday. Used the bow bag to store my cell phone and wallet. We got caught in a torrential downpour, and the bow bag worked perfectly! Rubber sealed zipper with a vinyl flap over it kept my stuff bone dry.

"We bought the under the seat storage bag. It is out of the way & stays off the canoe deck keeping the bag & everything in it dry as can be! It has lots of room to hold everythig from wallets to cameras. Good purchase!! It would be a 5 if it were also a dry bag, just in case we dump the canoe!"

"I recently took a canoe trip with my youth group. The trip involved canoe camping over 4 days and significant splashing and water inside the canoe.
while I didn't expect they be water proof (submerging), they did not keep the stray water out of the bag. I did expect that the bag withstand being splashed, but it failed.
not only did water get in the bag, but it was impossible to get it out. It actually did a better job keeping it in then it did out. I would not recommend these bags to anyone. I will be returning them."

"I use the bow bag, as well as the wedge thwart bag on my canoe and they are both terrific. The bow bag is great for smaller personal items, and the wedge bag is terrific for storing tackle and tools. By using these bags, it keeps the inside of my canoe free of clutter. These are great bags that I would recommend to anyone with a canoe."

"These bags are going to be the ticket for all the smmer canoe trips I go on. They are not as big as I thought they were going to be, but as other reviews say, they will hold a small digital camera, a cell phone and a pack of smokes. I would recommend the othr bags if you are looking for more storage, I unfortunately don't hae a place to put the other models or I would get them too."

"I was looking for a way to convert my canoe into a versitile fishing/duck boat. These bags work great for getting gear off the bottom and out of your way. These a lot of room to put a couple of plastic tackle trays in the under seat model. I can stuff a first aid kit and other "just in case" items in the canoe and not be stepping on them when getting in and out. I wish the bow model was a bit bigger, but overall there's really nothing else out there that could compete. Definately money well spent."

"I used all three of the bag options on my canoe. It's great for keeping gear organized and off of the bottom of the canoe. A buddy of mine ended up tipping over the canoe while getting in it, and it kept almost all of our gear dry. The only gear that got wet was in the back that was not zipped closed all of the way. In addition, the bag was not submerged for more that a few seconds. It does explicitly tell you that the bags are not waterproof in the description."

"Purchased 2 bags, bow bag and thwart bag. Both are well constructed and servicable. Bow bag is good for small items like a first aid kit and anything you need to access on the water. Thwart bag is useful for larger items. All that stops me from giving these a 5 star rating is that they are not waterproof. Quality construction again from Cabelas products."

"An under the canoe seat waterproof bag is a great idea for storage. Keeps things dry and out of the bilge water. However, several things are inconvenient with this bag. For one, when the bag is loaded, it's almost impossible to zip the bag shut once it's been opened. You have to put your hand under the bag and struggle with the zipper to close it. Another thing is that if you have a cushioned canoe seat on top of it, it's hard to bend over and reach back under your seat to get to the bag. If I were going to use the bag as storage that I would rarely need to get into, it would be great storage for snacks, sunscreen or even a dry change of clothes. But I was trying to use it as my tackle box during a week long canoe trip and I was frustrated with it after the first day. I have two of these bags and will use them on day river trips or overnighters, but not if I need to constantly get into them. I have a feeling that the bow bag would have worked better as my tackle box. I may try that next time.

"These are a "must have" accessory for the canoe owner. The under seat bags fit nicely under the canoe seats and are large enought for canoe accessories and personal items. They are well made and attachment was very easy. They are spray and water resistant but would allow water to seep in if dunked. I would recomment using waterproof bags inside of them if you have delicate equipment or items. They are a great addition to my canoe."

"Excellent product! I have the thwart and bow bags and they are great. Although not totally waterproof (need liners for that) the material has a rubber coating and is totally resistant to splashing or rain water. The nylon buckles and zippers are top quality. I have not seen another canoe bag to equal these."
