Purchased the drift sock harness and buoy for my husband prior to our annual Ontario fishing trip. Would definitely recommend this product to those who fish on windy waters. It was a great investment and saved us from having to use our trolling motor. Best fishing ever on Charleston Lake Ontario which is always windy. For the price, it can't be beat. Easy to use. Great investment."

"When I purchased Cabelas drift sock I also purchased the drift sock harness and buoy. The hookup between the sock and the boat is extremely easy with this harness and buoy. I use the midship cleat to attach the harness to and it is an easy on and easy off experience. If I happen to drop the line while doing the hook or un-hook the buoy keeps the line on the top of the water until I can retrieve it. Great product."

"Great product and works good. My only complaint is that with the added length it puts the drift sock dump line out too far. I ended up tying another dump line to the rear loop of the sock and then tied the other end to the boat cleat. That worked slick and it retrieved effortlessly. Thanks Cabela's"

"This product is made rather light in design. The biggest issue appears to be the length. It is short in comparrison to others. This will be overcome by using another line to get the sock out to where it needs to be. Also the float is made up of 4 1" foam tubes that are zippered into their pocket. I guess for replacement if they fail in some way. A solid float of some nature would be better."

"The sock works well. It slows me down just enough to catch a drift for Halibut. It is easy to retrieve and stows well. The buoy is easy to spot with it's orange color and is easy to hook up anywhere on my stern rail. I would recommend this set up to anyone, especially for the price and quality of materials."

"I really like the Cabelas Drift Sock. For either drift fishing for walleye, or keeping the boat straight on a windy day while trolling for salmon and steelhead, the drift sock works great. The weighted sock makes deploying the drift sock easy and fast. Would recomend this product to anyone"
