"Here in Napa Ca we have a wide varity of weather. Ive found this shirt to mix well with everything but warmer weather. Used as a over shirt/jacket,worn as a regular shirt and layerd up. Wool is not scratcy to me so I dont need a long sleeved undershirt or turtle neck. The shirt fits real well even after washing and drying a few times. There is ample room for layering without being bunched up. Due to the wamth of shirt I find myself not wearing the normal layers I would useally wear. Fine shirt, worth its weight. Will be buying more. Hope Cabelas comes up with more colors by then. Last note is when damp the shirt does not have that wet wool smell."

"This is the second shirt like this I have purchased, one in loden and one in charcoal. I think this is an excellent quality wool shirt, both in material and craftsmanship. I like the cut and the expandable pockets. I wore my first one during moose hunting season last fall and really came to appreciate its warmth and comfort. Here in interior Alaska, this shirt works well for me year round, both in town and in the woods."

"This is the second shirt I bought. Great shirt. Great construction. Great price. Washable wool is the way to go. Retains heat MUCH better than flannel when wet. No dry cleaning bills seal the deal. Only complaint is the lack of varieties in the colors. I'd like to see some blue, green, brown and gray plaids. I have two of the red/black check."

"I really really like this shirt. The color is great outdoor fade into the earth kind of color, and yet is quite regal and good enough looking for going out to eat. It is a warm shirt, but breaths well and can be worn in the heat without too much trouble as well. My only complaint, which isn't even a complaint, is that it feels like what it is: wool. Great stuff."

"I got the classic black and red plaid. It provides a great deal of warmth with very little bulk and cuts the wind very well. The reverse pleated chest pockets are roomy and secure but remain unobtrusive when empty. I wear this shirt every morning as a jacket when I walk the dog, and I will wear it all during the colder days of deer season here in Alabama. BTW, the black and red plaid used to be considered very effective camo for deer hunting, since the deer can't see the red and the overall pattern has enough "break-up" to blend with most any background."
