X67C Portable Fish Finder,April 20, 2009
By Augustafrom NW Montana
"This handy and compact fish finder (fits easily inside a 5 gallon bucket - perfect for ice fishing) is a great investment! Except for the initial "what goes where/how" after unpacking everything that Cabelas shipped - it has been very simple and self-explanatory to use. Battery life is much better than I had expected -- I was able to fish on the battery as shipped for six days before it needed charging. I am looking forward to using this on my one person pontoon boat this summer!"

Nice Fish Finder,March 24, 2009
By lsch1from Laramie, Wyoming
"This unit is easy to use and performed flawlessly in some extremely challenging conditions. The wind was blowing at least 50 miles per hour and the snow was blown into and onto the unit but it performed great. Knowing a fish is in the area and then teasing it with the bait enabled us to catch fish that we would not have normally known were even in the area. Lots of fun."

x67c i like it,February 24, 2009
By georgebumfrom Canadian, northern ontario
"I just used it for one day and it worked perfectly. I can spot whitefish on the bottom and i confirmed this with a camera.Every time i detected a fish on the flasher a few seconds later it would show up on the camera. We were fishing in 32 ft of water and my tiny tear drop and split shot showed up fine. So far i like it alot"

Almost perfect!,February 8, 2009
By applianceemtfrom Ogden, Utah
"This is an awesome product. I think the only thing I would change is putting the transducer on a piece of foam so you can pop it out of the water while landing a fish instead of having to move the whole fishfinder. Perfectly portable. Excellent visibility. I love the features. I have a bigger GPS fishfinder by Lowrance for my boat, but was looking for something more portable and this is just perfect for what i do. Now I am not stuck in one place, I can go looking for where the fish are!"

Lowrance X67C,January 1, 2009
By IceMan1111
"This is a good unit and very comparible to the Vexlairs, but it offers a little more for someone who want to put it on thier boat too. I have no complaints with the unit so far. We just need the ice back on the lakes here in the great state of Indiana."

Almost perfect....,March 7, 2008
By Bigdaddydbfrom OHIO
"The one real complaint I have is that I bought it as an X67 ice machine and it didn't come with the lowrance ice kit but rather a slightly inferior cabelas brand pack. Other than that, this is a great unit. Highly adjustable and easy to read and understand. I just started ice fishing and went to northern ontario a few weeks ago. I was fishing on a day where the high was 4 degrees from morning til dusk. I had a portable shanty and spent about a third of the day in there and the rest outside. I had this sonar on the WHOLE day and I only used a sliver of the battery capacity!!! I didn't believe it but when I got back to the cabin it was fully charged in about 5 minutes. This would be a real bonus on extended trips with no ac power. Very good unit."

Good bang for the buck,February 20, 2008
By WillOTheNorthfrom Northern Minnesota
"I've used this as a flasher on about a dozen 1 day ice trips. Only on the most cold days (colder than -15) have I managed to chew through a full battery in a day, generally I go through about 1/3 of a battery in 8hrs according to the gage, so the provided battery is good. The float system is also much easier to deal with than a rod type system, just be sure the get the tie straps pulled very tight or your apparent depth will change by a foot or two over time as the cord slips through the float. I generally don't fish with the large herds of people so I have not seen serious problems with interference. I think the screen is plenty bright, and the ping speed and separation of objects in the water (ping strength) is also fairly good. Unless you really want to spend into the 500$ range this unit is probably fairly tough to beat."

x67c ice machine,February 11, 2008
By outlawjosiefrom upstate ny
"I purchased this unit and love it. The screen is easy to read in daylight, and I can see a small jig well down past 50 feet so far. Even in normal sonar mode. The zoom is a nice feature also. Battery life is great. Easy to use and set up. Caught fish first time out.
Cons: They could improve the transducer mount set up. Clumsy and hard to store. (engineers after thought) I lost the wing nut holding the 'duser to the rod the first day! Easy fix though replace with a nut with a nylon lock ring. (How about it Lowrance guys?)
As far as the screen cracking from freezing, you won't have a problem if you are the type of person who does not abuse his equipment. The extra features to me are worth using common sense in handling this thing. If you are a bull in a china shop, stick to the old technology."

Cabela's X67c/M68c Soft Pack,February 8, 2008
By Hydrotherapyfrom Lyman Lake, Wisconsin
"I absolutely love this unit. I choose not to use it in the flasher mode, I am used to the graph screen which is what I use in the boat and this is why I chose this unit. This is the only unit I know of that gives you a choice. Maybe someday I will see the benefits of the flasher. It is in a convenient pack with a very long battery life. I am looking forward to using it in my canoe. I can't think of anything they could do to make it better. You can always trust Lowrance to make a quality product."

Worth the Price 100x Over,January 28, 2008
By Akaifrom SLC, UT
"This thing is fantastic for ice fishing. It is so sensative, you can see your hook clearly no matter the size (I use small ice flies) in 40 feet of water and can see them just fine. It has a flasher that is nice, but I don't use it as the sonar is so sensative. The battery life on this Ice machine is incredible too. Once, I used it 12+ hours over a span of two weeks, and it still showed over half full. After toting this thing around, I'll never go fishing ice again without it. Since this is my first year with it, I'm anxious to try it out in the summer with the boat transducer."

Mixed Results,January 28, 2008
By MinnesotaGuyfrom St. Cloud, Minnesota
"I used the X67c 4 times. 2 of the times, it worked perfect. The other 2 times, it seemed to picking up interference or something. Using it in flasher mode, the depth and marked fish would vary by serveral feet. Last week, the display would jump from 15.6 feet to 9.4 feet without even moving the locator. Of course, the maked fish would also vary by several feet. This display problem happened a bunch of times within seconds, so I couldn't read the display when this was happening. Then, magically, it would clear up and the depth and marked fish could easily be seen. All of this happened without moving or adjusting the settings.
Cabelas was very impressive. They let me return this product and buy a Vexilar FL-20 instead. Vexilar has 10 interference rejection settings to block out other signals."

Top Notch Product!,January 16, 2008
By WyomingSmittyfrom Cheyenne, Wy
"I have never owned a flasher before so it's difficult to measure this fish finder to another. However I love the X67c softpack. The ice fishing flasher mode is really sweet. The item took a little reading but after a few trips ice fishing I am very comfortable with the system. The color display is great and I got 4 full days of power from the rechargable battery. The fish finder is portable and simple to set up. I highly recommend the product to anybody interested in ice fishing."

Great Sonar,January 11, 2008
By COicetrout
"It does pretty much everything a vex can do! The pixels don't slow down, even in 10 degree weather. It is very sensitive and can shoot right through clear ice. It had changed my outlook on ice fishing. It also has a regular display, so you can put it on the boat (or belly boat) during the summer. The color display is also great. An all-around excellent choice!"

Catching More Fish,February 24, 2007
By Icehoundfrom Nebraska
"I have used the x67c Ice Machine for almost one winter season now, and have caught more fish than ever before. Works great for spotting fish and putting bait right where they're at. Love switching between page views to determine what's happening "down there." Has great battery life and offers great portability. Never had used any sonar devices for ice fishing in the past, but I'm not sure if I could bring myself to fish without it, now. Looking forward to using it this summer, too."

Trust The Best,Forget The Rest,January 18, 2007
By Idahokidfrom West Magic Reservoir and Salmon Dam
"I have the 67c and I am glad I do. I use the flasher mode for ice fishing. This is the only way to catch walleye through the ice here in Idaho. It even gives you a depth reading through the ice. In summer, you can put it on your float tube. It is verry easy to use and the battery stays charged forever. Trust Lowrance for the best sonar"
