"My first impression as I pulled this pullover out of the box was its weight - incredibly light!! My next positive impression was the warmth it gives ... perfect for cool fall nights and as a layer on cold winter days. "This is my second Polartec pullover - figured I'd pick up one more as a backup....I wear this pullover as soon as the temps start to drop.....works very well as base layer over my thermal underwear and is really warm under a lightweigth down vest and fleece jacket or my as a shirt beneathe my WoolRich hunting coat.....sure wish the USN would issue this stuff for everyday use stateside!"

"Bought one for my brother for Christmas and had to have one. I am adamant about selecting polartec products when it comes to fleece outerwear and this one by Cabelas is outstanding. This jacket is very warm and very good looking; cant wait to test it out in the single digit temps. Was issued level 2 ECWCS in the USMC and the level 3 is outstanding. This is my first high loft fleece, and while it is very comfortable I hope it is as durable as the polartec 300 fleece."

"I recently ordered this product and am very happy with it. It is very warm especially for the wieght. The only problem I had was with the sizing in that based on the sizing chart I am a large and had to return it for an extra large which seems fairly common after reading other reviews. With the sizing issue in mind, this is a very good product for the price."

"Have used the Polortec Level 3 pullover several times since purchase both for Ice Fishing and Steelheading. It provides the body core with the warmth needed. I really like the thinner sleeves and underarm material, it really does reduce the pressure at the elbow and arm pit and you don't feel like the Pillsbury doughboy. It wicks away the sweat after a long walk out on the ice. Did not get cold once in 6 degree weather with a 20 knot wind. I should have purchased the tall size as I am over 6 ft. but it still works well. I will purchase the Level 4 pullover to finalize the total layering process."

"I bought 2 of these; one for each of my brothers who are stone masons and work outside in the winter cold. They love them A LOT. They weigh very little (when I got the package I thought Cabelas shipped the wrong thing), are very soft, fit well and come packaged in plastic with a photo of guys doing cover "Spec Ops" on the front which is maybe a little dorky but the pullover is definitely NOT dorky. It's awesome. Highly recommended by my brothers."

"I purchased this for me, but as soon as my wife saw it she tried it on and..........I had to order another for myself. Soft, comfortable and WARM. Works best for me over silk and under wool/fleece/Polartec etc. It is expensive but this is well made and has already seem many runs through the wash and is still as new. "I think it is the warmest, most comfortable polartec product I've purchased (I have Level 2 and Level 4 products as well). I've found that zip-up shirts usually irritate my neck, but this shirt has padding that lies behind the zipper which makes it more comfortable, especially during outdoor activity. The lower sleeves are not as warm due to construction by a different material, but it is very soft and is warm enough with proper layering. The shirt is soft as fur, and I'm wearing it right now. I think it will become my favorite shirt for working and lounging around the house. I'm happy with the purchase."

"Based on the size chart I ordered a medium (I wear a 40 jacket / 34 waist). The medium was too snug, and Cabela's exchanged it for a large. The large fit was better, but the left sleeve was not sewn shut for the entire length. The replacement large was labeled a large, but the fit was more like the original medium. I had to return this item and give up - too bad as I liked the design."
