Hard to beat a Butler,
August 4, 2009
By BONESS56
from Northern Wisconsin
|
"Once I was introduced to this type of sling, it is the only one that I use. It is more of a comfort sling, rather than a shooting sling, so keep that in mind before purchasing."

Butler Creek Sling,
April 29, 2009
By truenorth

"Very good product. I use these slings exclusively for all my rifles. They are not only very light but really grip all my hunting jackets well, so no slip even when snowing. Nice compliment to a heavy rifle or keeping your light rifles light."

"I bought my first one for my Tikka T3 lite. I liked it so much I bought one for a Weatherby Vanguard II. The Weatherby is quite a bit heavier and this sling makes it much more comfortable to carry."

Buckles too small,

"I could not weave the straps through the buckles because the strapping was doubled over and stitched on the ends and they would not pass through the slots as directed. I returned the sling."

"I own several of these slings. They absorb the shock and weight of the rifle allowing long treks with the rifle slung without the soreness and chafing of a regular sling."

Nice sling.,

By MasonOK

"Has a good look and feel to it for sure. I've enjoyed it on my rifle so far and its a big improvement over a simple nylon strap I had before! The one thing to keep in mind is that you need to buy swivels as well. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind."

"I put this sling on my .204 ruger rifle. It had a good combination of stretch, strength and comfort. Grips well to your shoulder. Only downside is the difficulty to attach to your gun."

Just OK!,
January 1, 2008
By cody58554
from Mandan, North Dakota
|
"I have had one of these slings on my hunting rifle for 5 or 6 years now. I hunt in ND and its gets the worst kind of abuse during hunting season. The sling strap is kind of aukward. The metal "quick detachable" ends tend to squeek and make noise when you are carrying the rifle. I don't carry oil with me, so when it starts I get really frustrated. The sling loses its grip after a few years and has a tendency to slip off of your shoulder. And if it doesn't slip off, the soft fabric rolls up and rolls off the shoulder. The ends also get frayed and the fabric peels off. And being made out of material, it soaks up moisture and also holds human scent! At best this sling is O.K. My new one is a CLAW!"

Comfort Stretch Rifle Sling,
December 2, 2007
By SmithN
from Colorado
|
"This sling seems to stay on your shoulder a lot better than most leather slings unless you use a very narrow leather sling which is always uncomfortable if you pack your rifle all day. One of the most comfortable slings I have used. Only time will tell if the rubber holds up."
