"I own this very rifle sling and I have it attached to a Ruger model M77 Mark II SS hunting rifle chambered in the standard 7mm (.284 caliber) Remington magnum. This rifle is fairly HEAVY due to the fact that it has a 24" barrel, laminated wood stock and an additional recoil pad cover laced onto the butt of the stock. I have used this sling now for three years of hard hunting without a problem one. This sling is NOT all that heavy nor wide (compared to some), but it manages to get the job done real well. Because this mauser type Ruger is already heavy, this sling adds no more weight to my setup than what is needed. It's just a good sling and I would recommend this one to anybody. It is Cabela's LOGO embedded, but I assure you that those elk care nothing about all that :-O)"
