"I take my dog to the office with me and he likes to bark at clients to greet them. I don't like that but I had a hard time making him stop. So, reluctantly, I got this collar for him. All it took was 3 barks - over 3 days, to make him stop barking at the office. Now he just greets people with a wagging tail and he is a quiet boy. We are all happy. "i have tryed the spraying and vibrating dog bark collars, whom to which both have failed miserabley. this product only took one shock, and my little abby(a yorkiepoo) knew that when its on its time to be quiet. and ive had this for one year now. ITS THE BEST!! i have a peekapoo i just adopted and im buying a second one tonight for her!!
note to new buyers though: if your dog goes in the water up to the neck(and the collar gets under water) the dog WILL get shocked until out!! ......it was good for my dog, cuz i live on the lake and she will not go in the water now without me letting her go. i dont have to worry about her falling through the ice anymore in the winters!!"

"My daughter has a Jack Russell and his vocal chords were just as hyper as the rest of him. Before buying a bark collar, I read the reviews and the Dogtra seemed to be highest in customer satisfaction. Bought the YS300 and I've been very pleased with the results. This dog would bark at anything and everything, yap-yap-yap constantly until I wanted to throttle him. In two days, he learned to associate barking with the mild stimulus (at lowest setting) and the yapping is now under control. I even saw him chase a squirrel along a fenceline, and he never barked once. Naturally, my wife and daughter were antsy about this "shock treatment", but when they saw the results, they became believers. I like this product and recommend it."

"I really like this product. I had one and ordered 2 more so all my small yappers can use one. It works great, and I know they get a warning vibration first so they really can 'choose' whether to go on and get a shock. Even the most stubborn usually only has to see the collar to stop. There isn't any carryover, though. If they don't see it or wear it they'll bark, so it's a great product but not a TRAINING product. I think that's OK because I don't believe any training on earth could stop these yappers from yapping. Only direct consequences!"

"This product works as advertised. Our dog learned pretty quick that she would get a shock of she barked, which our neighbors in the condo appreciate.
I have the Dogtra Training Collar and expected the length of time that the battery stays charged would be similar. Unfortunately, this product only seems to stay charged for 6 hours or so, which doesn't even work for overnight, when the dog tends to bark at deer, cats, paperboy, etc."

"We bought a different brand bark controller from Cabela's only to have it mysteriously quit working. We then bought this Yapper Stopper and were very pleased with it's quality. In the first day our little dog learned he couldn't bark while we were gone and within the first we we didn't have to have it on the shock setting. That's probably why I love this product the most, the fact that it vibrated before it shocked him so now all we have it on is the vibration and no shock. Also the rechargeable feature is SO great because we no longer go through the $5 batteries on a near-weekly basis like we did with the previous collar we bought. I would definately recommend this collar."

"I got this item for a Jack Russell that barks just to hear himself bark. Not anymore though. He doesn't even growl anymore. This is the best setup. The unit is sound activated and doesn't have to be located on vocal cords to work. It works anywhere on his neck. I used one of the other types that worked on vocal cord vibrations and it was hard to keep in place so it didn't always work. That unit was returned. I think this is the only unit to buy.
