Never Again,

"Bought these at the Hamburg, Pa store. Drove home and opened up the plastic sealed hard wrap around it. They had a strong odor of rubber from being sealed in hard plastic wrap. Tried them out looking into the woods from my deck. Worked the binocs for about 15 minutes, when allof a sudden they felt real loose at the hinge. Looked them over and saw that the hinge was broken. They must of broke during shipping at some point, but that hinge looked cheaply made. Went right back to the store and exchanged them for Nikons,"

"Have owned them since 2004 with very sparce use. Hunting trips and fishing trips only. This fall went to use them and I have two fields of views that can not be corrected. Called to have warrenty work on them. There is a fee in order to have them look at the binocs. I will not be using a company that charges for warrenty work. Cabelas has a 60 day policy on glass. I will be going to Nikon or Leupold as they have been great to work with over the years. Initial thoughts on the baraskas were good for the money but have not with stood the test of time."

"great binoculars,they work very well before dark,and a clear crisp image durring the day had them for 1 year now and they still work great,
the only thing thats bad about these is the eye cup,if you dont have glasses ,you have to keep turning it out."

""O.K. They are O.K. Not bad, not great. For what I'll be using them for, (my little 16' utility boat up on Jacks Lake, Ontario) these will do nicely.
The upside: water resistant, rubber armour body, light and compact.
The down side: ho-hum optics.
If these get bounced overboard, I won't spaz out too much.""

"These Binoculars are easy to use with or with gloves on, I like that they are rubber armored I have droped them a few times with no problems. I like that they are also waterproof with no foging lenses, they have gone swiming once in the water canoeing already with no problems so I know that they will be ok in a rain storm in the Boundary waters this summer if I were to buy another pair I would buy these again."

"So far so good. Used them in place of my "cheap" carry around ones. A little on the heavy side. Dont really like the front lens covers. Nice clear view. I mainly use them to view my deer feeder (230 yards)."

Not bad binoculars for under $100,

"Bought the mossy oak breakup 10x42 binocs for this seasons deer hunt. Have been using them daily for about a week now and have had no problems with them. Once I got them focused they were pretty good. The neck strap is a joke though. It is pretty much a shoe string, I had to tie the neck strap to the binocs because they kept coming undone and fell to the ground twice. My friend has a pair of Nikon Monarchs that he paid three times more than I did for these binocs and he thought the Barska was a good buy. I have had a few other friends try them out and they went and got themselves a pair. Cabelas must sell a lot of them cause the day I bought these at my local store in Kearney this pair was the last one they had. Overall they are a good binoc for under $100, I would recommend them to a hunter that doesn't want to spend a lot of money for a binoc you only use 3 or 4 weeks a year."

"I purchased a pair a few years ago which were among the best bino's I've ever owned. Unfortunately, my 5 year old dropped them and they broke. I ordered another pair (same model), but the quality on these is horrible!
The adjustment knob is loose (sloppy), the rubber material that covers the bino is coming loose, and I cannot seem to get them to focus no matter how much I try. So, I spent $100 more and now have Nikon which work quite well."

"I BOUGHT THESE BINOS FOR MY TEN YEAR OLD SON TO GO HUNTING WITH. HE LOVES THEM. THEY HAVE CLEAR OPTICS FOR THE MONEY. ALTHOUGH NOT AS GOOD AS MY LEUPOLDS OR MY OLD BAUSCH AND LOMB BINOS, I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY ON A BUDGET.
