"Leupold makes a good scope. I put this scope on my .22-250 that rides around in my pick up for shooting coyotes. I would not consider going "lesser" than Leupold in price / quality. Optics are an item then you get what you pay for. I use to believe that you could not possible "see" the difference between $100 optics and $1,500 optics. Experience has shown that to be wrong. This Leupold scope is good; exactly what I thought it would be. Durable construction, built well. It should last a lifetime. I took it out along with my Zeiss on a full moon night. The Zeiss was 10 times brighter - I could see calves sleeping under a tree at 300 yards. With the Leopold I could make out "dark bumps in the tree at night but not tell what they were. If you are looking for a solid scope for general purposes, this is a good scope... If you are a serious hunter interested in good twilight optics, you need to be looking at scopes that start about $700+."

"I am very pleased with this rifle scope. I priced and tested, (in various stores), several scopes and found that even though some others may be lower priced with decent optics, the Rifleman is more compact in length, is lighter in weight and has a longer eye relief than the comparable scopes. For my money, those features add up to more than compensate for the slightly higher price of the Leupold. Great scope with clear optics and a lifetime warranty!!! Go get one........"

"This is an excellent scope for the money. LRD reticle is a very nice feature. The scope adjustments rotate without a microclick feature but that is a minor negative. Stoney Point adjustment turrets fit fine and work well on this scope as the adjustment screws have the coin slot. Eye relief is excellent. The overall appearance and finish is excellent and light transmission through the scope is also excellent. I would recommend this scope highly."

"Excellent optics. I was looking for a dependable lightweight scope for a carry rifle. I chose a 2 X 7 and it exceeds all my expectations for this price range. I've owned many riflescopes in the past and I've never been disappointed with any Leupold (Gold Ring), scope. I've had two other brands come apart on my .270, and sent others back to the factory due to poor tracking.

"I purchased one of these scopes to put on my Parker Hale .270. The scopes clarity was good, but thats what Ive come to expect from a Leupold. My only complaint is that Whan sighting in the scope would not adjust down so my gun is 4 inches high at 100 yards. The 1/2 inch adjustments may have something to do with that."
