"Cabela's Supermag 1600 hip boots are a great for the river runner/hunter that is operating in cold water for prolonged times and does not need the extra coverage of waiters. My first outing with these boots I hiked 6 miles pulling an inflatable canoe up river full of camp and gear to my whitetail hunting spot; the water temp was 37, and the air temps were in the mid 30’s. I bought these boots to replace some old Cabala’s Ultimate Hunting Waders that finally broke down after 8 years of hunting and fishing from the top of Alaska to the northern boarders of Texas. I was truly impressed with the Cabala’s Ultimate Hunting Waders but at only 1000 thinsulate I wanted to try something with a little bit more warmth like the Supermag 1600 hip boots. Both hip boots are great, but I liked the Ultimate hip boots a little better than my new pair of Supermags because the Ultimate hunting hip boots armor-flex seemed a little more durable to the briar and picker brush. So, if your looking for a hip boot that will take the abuse of briar and picker brush I would suggest buying the ultimate hunting boots; if you are not concerned with the brush and want a truly warm durable hip boot go with Supermag. Happy hunting and tread lightly."

"Waders are very warm. I stand in basically freezing water for hours at a time with no problems. Have had some minor issues with seem leak around the crotch area. Outside of wader is very durable."

"My biggest problem duck hunting has always been cold feet, due to a wound recieved in Vietnam I have reduced circulation in right foot. These are the first boots that allow me to hunt all day in freezing conditions and be comfortable. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. Have recommended these boots to several friends already."

"I used these hip boots duck hunting in near 0˚ weather. My feet were warm as toast even after several hours. I especially like how flexible they are - even in very cold weather. They are much less constricting than neoprene chest waders. I highly recommend them."

"A lot of money for hip boots, but worth it. I use them for duck hunting in Northern California, sitting in the tank for hours at a time. Even with only one pair of light socks I was never the victim of cold feet. Might be a bit too warm for some."

"These are the best waders ever made bar none, few things have exceeded my expectations this much. They are tough and keep you warm in ANY weather conditions, I wear one good pair of socks with them and that is all it takes to keep my feet warm on a blistering cold morning. I own both the hip boots and the chest waders, you will not be disappointed in these. I have had mine for several years now and still going strong."
