Serious Sun Protection,

"A retired game warden friend recently had several skin cancer spots removed as a result of his many years serving outdoors. Needless to say, he is ultra-cautious about sun exposure. We fish inshore saltwater together quite often, so I gave it to him as a gift. He loves it because it gives his ears and neck the protection they need, he can switch hats, and launder it if necessary."

"Better than the model that includes a flimsy hat but still too small for much effectivness. With a good hat under it, it cover pretty well in the neck area but barely covers the back of your ears. Too much money for too little product."

"Very flimsy and is worthless if there is a slight breeze. Having had skin cancers removed from my neck I thought this would be the ticket, but it just barley covers the neck area and if the wind is blowing it just flaps in the breeze. The elastic band that holds it on the hat you are wearing is too tight and will give you a head ache if worn too long. You are better off to buy the other solar type hat sold by Cabella's which is a one piece hat and does a fair job of giving protection from the sun. This shade may make a useful rag."

"Elastic band holding shade on cap is impossible to put in place and keeps sliding off baseball cap. Cannot use because of this. After messing with it several times, I threw it away. Bought a hat with shade built in and it works just fine."

"Wore this sun shade while fishing for peacock bass on the Amazon River where it was very hot and humid. I especially like being able to wear my favorite hats instead of the ones that have the shade attached. It worked well for keeping the sun off my ears and neck."

"This certainly beats wearing a towel under my hat while mowing the yard! Lightweight, cool, comfortable and it stays in position regardless of where you turn your head. Great protection for the tender skin on my ears and neck. This product is even "cooler" after soaking it in ice water for a few minutes and then wearing it. I had been looking at safari type hats before stumbling on this interesting invention and decided to give it a try. Everyone needs protection from the hot sun and it's UV rays. This is a MUST have product for anyone who spends time in the sun!"
