federal t shot,November 6, 2009
By crowzbonzfrom debary, fla.
"I may not be an advid duck or geese hunter but the t shot does work very well on the coyotes. would like to try them out on waterfowl one day but, for now keeping the "dogs" away from the calfs, this is the best shot we've tried yet. 70+ yards with a full choke in the mossberg 835 does the trick."

3" T shells, 1550fps,September 12, 2009
By dacantleyfrom OH
"out of my remington 870 with a patternmaster choke tube, i put 48 T sized pellets on a 12x12 piece of cardboard at 30 yards and 33 on a similar sized piece at 45. if that won't drop a goose in practical range i don't know what will."

Only shells that never JAM,January 19, 2009
By RefugeVictimfrom Sacramento, California
"I spent a great deal of money this year buying every brand of shells that Cabela's carries. Between me and my hunting buddies we tried out at least a box of every brand. Federal Premium was the only ammo that every hunter had consistent success with. Other ammo worked well but not on the level of the premiums. We even used the bismuth and hevi-shot and never approached the level of "take" that we had with the federals. As another person on this review section said the quality of the powder is what does it. I have an 1100 and a worthless Spartan 453 from Remington. The Spartan is probably the worst gun on the market for jamming and other issues. The Federals never jam in this gun. If they can make a Spartan shoot well they must be the best!"

Always Shoot Federal,November 3, 2008
By LongbeardSpikefrom Oakland, CA
"The man that taught me to hunt told me to "always shoot Federal" after he dislodged another manufacturer's unexploded shell from the magazine of my shotgun. Since then I have always shot Federal for over 22 years and never had another shell mishap. Cabela's carries a wide choice of Federal shells and buying from my desk and paying a fair price is always worth it to me."

12ga Ultra Shok 3" T shot,October 14, 2008
By ljhglkhgfrom Manitoba, Canada
"This is great ammo. I typically shoot my geese at about 35yards and this stuff knocks 'em flat. I use a Winchester 1300 ranger with a modified choke.
Another thing I've noticed is that it leaves much less fouling in the barrel after shooting a box of this off than the previous box of Winchester 3" BBB that I had fired. And the price was about the same for the two.
As has been said before however, all this feedback is subjective because each gun will pattern differently, but I think the clean powder in this ammo is something anyone can take advantage of."

Not the best,September 3, 2008
By warEAGLEboatsfrom SUSQUEHANNA RIVER,central PENNSYLVANIA
"Make sure to pattern your gun with different types of ammo. My Franchi I-12 patterns okay with this ammo, but isnt as good as Winchester SuperX. Altho, the Black Cloud patterns well thanks to the unique wad."

By troutslayrfrom Lonsdale MN
"I used BBB and 3 shot federal ultra-shok for almost the whole MN waterfowl season. On operner i used winchester expert and did great. I could have alot more bagged but im not the best shot. I know that it wans't my shooting for the whole season cause these shell were terible! I will never buy federal ultra-shok steel. They are too expensive for the quality of the shells. My advice to hunters on a budget is buy winchester Expert BB or 2 shot some of the fastest shells on the market. 1500 FPS i love em. I still want to try the new federal is Black Cloud. I might use that for opener. I hope it works. Good luck huntin!"

Great Shells,August 2, 2007
By DuckHammerfrom Yankton, South Dakota
"I used these shells in BB to take down late season Canadians. I Used 3 1/2 shells they had no problem droppong geese at 70 yards. Also they worked wonders on snows and blues during the spring season."

Federal Ultra Shok,June 30, 2007
By Calfowlerfrom California
"These are the best waterfowl loads made. I use 3" shells and my hunting partner uses 3 1/2". They are waterproofed at the primer, wad and the crimp. You get less cripples and I don't think I have ever had a failure and I shoot close to two cases a season. I have had the best luck with the 1550 fps 3" #2's on ducks and BB's on geese."
