Fast but no knock down power,November 11, 2009

"I went out last week 2 shots on mallards both at 25 yards. Shells used 3' #3 at 1550pfs. First mallard got hit in the neck and head, droped and never moved. 2nd Mallard took center hit started going down than recovered and pulled away. I had to shoot him twice more. When i got him i saw the shot could not even go tru the brest of the bird at 25 yards. And these were shot wth a Pattermaster. They are cheap ,but you get what you paid for. KENT Fast steel is much better for the price. I am going back to WINCHESTER SUPREME,nothing on this planet can come close to that load, i have never had a cripple with these!!!!"

"I have shot it all from the very spendy bismuth to the cheap stuff and you cant beat this product for the price. I have shot side by side guys shooting black cloud, heavy shot, bismuth, you name it...you cant deny that the exspensive stuff out performs on paper. In the field there isnt much differnce."

"I've tried steel shot before and been disappointed. Once again, I need to stick with lead or copper coated. Steel shot just does not carry out well, hit with impact, or knock down the birds."

"For the money the 3" 1 1/8 oz - 1550 FPS loads are best Waterfowl shells that I have used. The shells work in all guns that I have use, from my O/U, Pump and the 2 Autos. I shoot ducks and geese over water and field from MN, SD, ND and MT, and they deliver the performance that I need. All my hunting buddies use these shells, on my recommendation.

"I have hunted waterfowl for many year's and I have been a guide for the last two. The other day a stumbled upon a crippled goose it had a broken wing. I shot it 3 times from 20 yards. The pattern was the worst I have ever seen I had to finish the poor bird off with a black cloud shell it was like I hit it with a sledge hammer. These Winchester shells need to be taken off the market."

Worst Ammo on the Market,September 2, 2009

"This ammo is awful. I hunt the butte sink and this ammo is the worst i have ever shot. After a hunt where i was crippling every duck i shot while using it, until i brought out a box of KENT FASTEEL. i opened one of my winchester xpert 3inch "1 1/8" 2 shot load and found that the pellets were mishaped and poorly made. I opened another one because I thaught maybe it was a reject shell but it was exactly the same. The pellets were not round or any shape really. They were just chipped and jagged all over which will lead to an unconcistent pattern. When i opened a Kent Fasteel shotgun shell, i found the bb's to be perfectly round and all the same. If you want some grubb on the table shoot Kent Fasteel. But if you want two empty boxes of shells and nothing to show, go ahead and shoot winchester xpert load. For a few exta bucks shoot a quality load."

"I gave these a 5 star rating because they pattern great in my gun and drop ducks at good ranges. If you are interested in these shells, buy a box and pattern your gun (with multiple choke tubes for best results) if you find a combo that produces consistent patterns than you got yourself a winner. If not, buy different ammo and continue to pattern. For me they are great."
