"Cabelas did a great job of packing and sending the ammo. This and everthing else I ordered came in a short period of time from purchase. The ammo is top of the line at a affordable price. I will definately plan on buying more products from Cabelas."

"These are by far the best shells I have ever used in 15+ years of waterfowl hunting. I have never had a miss fire, they pattern well, they burn clean, and they can handle the wet weather. You get what you pay for."

good shells,
November 18, 2008
By labtrainer4ducks

"they pattern good with my remington 1100 's . mod and ic i don't shoot many birds over 45 yards .. and my sweet spot seems to be 35 to 40 with my mod .and the ic works good all around ,but better with close greenhaeds ...! the ink on the shells comes off easy ,so i felt pin the bottom (brass) with the number shot ,then can layer shells without fear of a 4 as my last shot . or a BB as my first .. perfect speed for me ."

Great waterowl shells,

By MidnightLabs
from Traverse City MI

"I have been hunting and guiding waterfowl hunts for over 25 years and for the money these are the best shells I have ever used. They work very well in the harsh cold conditions unlike many of the cheaper shells. You don't need to spend the big money on the steel alternatives if you use these shells."

What a Goose cruncher,
February 8, 2008
By shoot2thrill
from Kansas
|
"I shoot these in BBB out of my Browning Gold 10 with a Patternmaster choke. Ok, ok, some may not believe this but on my life I promise you in the last two years I've had at least six geese fall in excess of 80 yards. We stepped off a Spec shot at 94. We're mostly shooting large Greaters here in Kansas and they can take a wallop. I can't afford the premium non-toxics like Hevi, but I don't think it matters too much when you can shoot this good of a steel load and hit them squarely."

"Used some last year, bought a flat this year. Give me velocity anyday. With 1550 fps you don't just reach out and touch em. You hit em hard. Three inch shells work fine. No point in poundin yourself with 3 1/2's."

duck killin ammo!,
January 8, 2008
By BOBBYO2
from Lincoln county, MO.
|
"I've always preferred Federal ammo to other brands, even though it is a little more expensive, and somewhat harder to find. I was not dissapointed, and had a great season shooting this stuff. I am a firm believer in the mental aspect of using ammo you have confidence in, you shoot better because you are not thinking about 'how fast it is, how much lead to give a bird', 'will I kill cleanly at this distance', etc. Federal really put some power in this, it kills consistently at close and far ranges (40+ yards). The powder burns clean so you don't have to clean you shotgun everytime you shoot it. I shoot a Bennelli, SBE 1, which with other ammo's would stop cycling smoothly after just a box of 25. And when you get your confidence up, you are going to widen your choices of when to shoot, and put more ducks on the stringer! While its not always about the numbers, it is nice to come home to the barn with a full stringer a few more times each year."

Serious problem,
June 22, 2007
By WaterShot
from Tennesee
|
"I purchased several boxes of the 10ga load last waterfowl season. During the course of the hunting season I experienced several shell failures. Often the gun (Browning gold 10ga auto) would jam. On closer inspection the cause of the jam was due to the hull body separating from the case head. Federal was notified of the above failures via e-mail with pics of the hull(s) and of the case lot number with no response received."

FEDERAL SHELLS,

"I PURCHASED A CASE OF 10 GAUGE 3 1/2" BB FOR SNOW GOOSE HUNTING AND WAS VERY PLEASED WITH HOW THEY SHOT. I DID HAVE ONE SHELL CASING BREAK OFF IN THE BARRELL WHILE THE BRASS WAS EJECTED FROM THE GUN. THIS CAUSED THE NEXT SHELL TO JAM UP. OVERALL THEY WORKED GOOD."
