B3 tall,February 11, 2009
By Coldcanuckfrom Ontario, Canada
"Cold Canadian winters require a warm jacket and this fits the bill. It also fits me really well (6'6", 300lbs). I debated ordering a 2xtall, but am glad I got the 3xtall - it's perfect and the 2x would have been too snug. My only complaint is about pockets - the handwarmer pockets should be deeper and there could be more and larger internal pockets. Otherwise, the quality and fit rate 5 stars. I got the last 3xltall they had in stock and I'm not sure they're going to be getting any more, given that it showed up in the bargain cave. I guess we'll see next Fall."
Cabela's B-3 Shearling Leather Bomber Jacket,January 6, 2009
By MadisonRiverIcemanfrom West Yellowstone Montana
"The best coat that I have bought from Cabelas or anyone else, after living in Iceland where these coats are very common I was pretty sure that I couldn't find a "top quality" heavy duty coat like this in the US. I was wrong... This coat should last me the rest of my life...I am 6'1" 290lbs and the 3XL tall fit like a glove. regards Doug!"
Great buy,January 5, 2009

"This is a great jacket for the price you pay. I received it and the next day I left for the Netherlands for Christmas and I was nice and toasty the whole week, even though it was freezing throughout the day and a stiff wind was blowing to make the wind chill going into the low 20 F range.
It is nice and comfortable and the fit is great. I am 6'3" and went for the tall XL version.
It would have been a 5 star if the pockets would be deeper and have a larger inside pocket."

"As an engineer, I can comment on this nice jacket from a technical angle: very nicely manufactured and good material. It's the type of jacket you want to use for years, so see it as an investment to protect yourself from cold weather. It's not a fashion product, but it certainly looks nice. Also the size recommendation seems very accurate, I am 6'2", 180lbs, and I got a Large Tall. Fit perfectly well. I bought more products from Cabela's because of this purchase."
Just what I wanted,November 18, 2008

"I can't believe my good fortune to discover this jacket of such quality and low price. i have wanted one of these since I was 8 years old. That was a very long time ago. I'm glad I waited until now to get one. I am much bigger now and at 6'-5" I am pretty sure I have stopped growing. Thanks as well for the "Tall" sizes.
I don't know anyone that wouldn't enjoy one of these jackets.
You won't find a better one for less than twice the Cabela's price."
Fantastic Coat,November 15, 2008
By lhotchfrom Lenexa Kansas
"I had a Bomber Jacket when I was in the service and thought it was wonderful. After I purchased the new coat I wish the old coat could have been so warm and comfortable. I got a 2xl and it was made for me! What a wonderful fit. The whole experience of getting this Jacket was very rewarding and the thrill of having such a coat was exciting.
Thank you Cabelas for having such outstanding merchandise!"
Unbelieveable Value - Heavy & Warm.....,November 5, 2008
By Hoosierdaddiofrom Cleveland, Ohio
"I've had my eye on a coat like this for years, always choked on the $600+ price. I figured what the heck, I could return it if it was not right. The only problem was with my short arms. (The sleeves roll up, but it began to look like a Santa coat....) My tailor fixed that, its very soft leather. No problem shortening them with a regular needle. People stop me in elevators and parking lots, asking where I got the jacket. Good thing most people have heard of Cabelas, I'm sure I've sold several for them. This coat makes cold Cleveland winters much more bearable......"
Excellent value and craftsmanship,October 23, 2008
By APinPAfrom Lancaster, PA
"This is a fantastic jacket! It has great detailing and solid, heavy stitching. I'm 6'7" so finding something off the shelf is a rarity. 2 things to point out - this is a shearling jacket, it's heavy. This is a coat that isn't ment for cool days, but cold weather. Also the skins are freshly tanned. The finish is a shiny chocolate brown - it is NOT a distressed leather finish. Definitely a jacket that is ment to provide years of wear. A great purchase that would be 2-3 times the price at other retailers or even more via a custom tanner."
One of the best B3 values,July 19, 2008
By Pressguyfrom Bucks County, PA
"Most B3 jackets run at least $600, and can be well over $1,000. This B3 is about half that low-end price, and while it may not be historically accurate (no horsehide trim, and includes handwarmer pockets), it seems to be very well made and is very warm. It's heavy -- probably close to 6 lbs., and made for really cold weather use. Wear this on a mild day and you're likely to end up taking it off and carrying it.
The zipper and all the other buckle hardware seems to be good quality, and the sheepskin has great grain character.
If you've always wanted a sheepskin shearling B3 but didn't have the money, this is a great alternative."
"I recieved this jacket and was impressed with the sheer weight of it.Have been wearing it Feb and March in Ohio and haven't gotten cold yet. It's actually too much for a mild day,it needs to be cold. While it's not an actual copy of a USAAF B3,it's close and a good value for the money.Real B3 copies range upward of $600. Overall a very warm jacket and an excellent value."

"I bought this coat for my 6'4" husband who is always cold every winter. He has a ski coat but wanted something for everyday/casual wear. He absolutely LOVES this jacket and looks forward to the weekend wearing it!! If you have to endure northern winters..... you might as well be warm and "cozy"!! This was a PERFECT PURCHASE for him!!!"
