"This jacket is very well constructed, extremely supple leather, I wear a 40 regular and was used to ordering medium sizes, after reading the reviews on line I opted for the small and kept my fingers crossed. the small fits perfectly. The only thing I'm not crazy about, is the pockets for you're hands could have been deeper."

"I tried it on if you wear a large do get the regular. It seems like it will be a warm jacket. (I purchased it in August). My father fought for the Army Air Corp. in WW2. He used to say " I wish I kept that Jacket". It looks good. The leather is smooth and keeps the wind out!"

"I live in South Africa where the weather is relatively warm, and as a result, jackets like these are hard to find because there is not much need for them. That said, I simply had to have one because they're just so hip, cool and timeless.
I came across the Cabelas website and ordered the jacket. I took the advice of most of the other reviews and ordered one size smaller, and thank goodness I did. I normally wear a medium being 5'10" and 165 pounds, but I ordered a small and it fits perfectly just like a medium. The jacket made it all the way to South Africa in just 6 days from order, which simply blew me away. The quality is outstanding and the jacket is everything I expected. Thank you Cabelas!"

"I am 6'1" 220 lbs. and wear an XL or XL-T in everything. I have long arms and a long torso so originally tried an XL-Tall from the store. I realized that it was wayyyyy too long in the arms and about 3-4 inches too wide. The length of the jacket was great though for my torso.
I ended up special ordering a size large through my local store based on recommendations from this site. I was extremely pleased with it. The quality, construction, and look of this jacket is top notch. I would suggest that your first option would be to try the jacket on at a store. If that isn't possible then I'd go one size below your usual (if you wear an Xl, try an L. If you wear an L try a M, etc.). The long jackets are more suited to those in the 6'5" and up range I believe (my arm span is 6'3" and the arms were still a good 2 inches too long in the TALL version).
These may feel a bit short in the body at first wear (fit at the waist, instead of over the pants pockets like most modern jackets do), but that is how bomber jackets are supposed to fit (watch an episode of Hogan's Heroes sometime!). The warmth, comfort, and overall everything about this coat is great. I would highly recommend it. Just get the perfect fit, because you'll be able to wear this thing for 10 years I would guess. I've been wearing my same leather jacket for the last 12 years without problem and it gets better and better. This jacket seems to be a step up from that older one."

"This jacket, while not of the top tier quality of more expensive shearling jackets, is the best value I have ever seen in a jacket of this type. The leather is not as soft as I have seen, but the quality for the money you pay is excellent. It is extremely warm and considering the 3 degree F I wore it in without a lot of layers, speaks volumes. I would recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a great leather jacket at a great price. Other reviewers speak at length of the sizing issues. DO NOT IGNORE THEIR WARNINGS. I wear large in everything. "Let me say this first about the jacket....It does run large. I ususally get a large in jackets for my husband but after reading all of the reviews I decided to go with a medium and it fits perfectly. This jacket is great and he loves it. "I recently received my B3 jacket from Cabela's at the time the sale price was good value for this jacket when I ordered it. I was worried about the sizing reading some of the reveiws but finally bought the size I wear , a large regular. I a 5'8 and weigh 170 lbs. The jacket fits me good with room to wear a hoody for added protection. So all and all the size was not over large cut for me. The wool lining is extreamly warm and the outer jacket is great in a bad wind. the jacket fits right to have some back coverage which is great in cold weather.
So if you are looking for a B3 at at a great price this is it, the inside pocket is a nice touch which most B# do not have and you wnt have your wallet fall out of the front pockets.
So if you want the tradition WWII style of tight fit B3 you may wish to go a size smaller than you usually wear, if you want some room to move I found the cut just right. If you have short arms the sleves do roll up like the original. I hope this helps Cheers Merc99"

"I'm normally a medium, but going off of the reviews I went with a small. Well.....it's a little small, But not too bad. I'm guessing somewhere in between a small and a medium would have been just perfect. The sleeves are perfect, but I don't think I could wear a sweater underneath and still be able to zip it up. I would have exchanged it for a medium, but they were out already (until next season), and I couldn't bring myself to returning it. It is just too good, even if the fit is a little off. Really, the quality is great. Nice, heavy sheepskin coat like I used to have back in the day. Not as warm as some of the reviews I've read, but definitely a winter coat. About on par with a down jacket, I'd say. Get one before they're sold out, these don't last!"
