"This parka is the perfect fitting jacket, it is not bulky at all and is very warm. "Recently wore this in low 20's with wind chill. I'm a small stature male adult, that would rather not pay the high dollar ticket price of comparable gear. Dry Plus works, the Thinsulate insulation does a great job and the durability I'm sure will hold up.
Wish they sold XL size insulated bibs in this series. Waiting on the XL insulated coveralls to come back in stock...buy it you'll agree it's a great deal.
Note, I wore this parka with only my Cabelas series MTP polar weight base layer (with x-static nano-silver scent elimination). That was all I needed."

"I bought two of these coats , one for my nine year old and one for my six year old . We normally go to the nearest discount store and end up buying the boys their coats but this year Cabelas was kicking these out at 50% off so we gave it a shot . BEST SHOT I EVER MADE !!!! My boys are hard on everything but I think they have met their match . These coats are warm as toast and tuff as nails and very well made with the good looks to go with it . Wish I had one just like it , I will buy their coats from Cabelas every time they need one , I know I wont be buying near as many coats as I have in the past because they seem to be kid proof and will stand up to anything a kid might throw at them !!!!!!!"

"The silent suede series is a family favorite. It offers waterproof and warm camoflauge at a reasonable price. The material is generally quiet. The one drawback we've experienced so far is velcro on the side pockets flaps - too NOISY when you're trying to silently hunt deer."

"I ordered this "Jacket" for my 13 yr old son for Christmas. I am overall pleased with the purchase. There are a couple of things that you should know if you are considering purchasing this item. I live in Alabama and down here we would consider this a "Coat" and not a "Jacket". This is pretty bulky and very warm. I also think the description is misleading, this "coat" is far from silent and not very "Suede" like at all. This is a very warm coat and seems to be very well made but if you want a "Silent" "Jacket" buy fleece."

"I just recently bought the cabelas youth silent suede parka and pants for our 5yr old son. I was looking for something to keep him warm and dry enough so we could actually hunt longer on the mountain. We tried it out just the other day on a cold, snowy, wet & windy day, and there was no more complaining or crying, he actually ended up to hot and had to take off his gloves, hat and unzip his coat! And when we stopped to cook lunch he sat there for a half an hour and never once got cold. He was warm and dry and the material is tough and durable(lives up to it's silent name), should last through the other two kids. We're very pleased and believe it will work just as well snowmobiling."
