"There are times when I wish that this stuff was available when I was a kid. I remember none too fondly freezing to death when sitting on a deer stand after walking in and building up a good sweat.
They fit like they are supposed to. He says they are plenty warm and he is a little cold natured. I will continue to purchase these to replace the ones he will outgrow.

"Great jacket, it will serve my wife well I am sure. I especially like the fact that the liner can be removed for warmish days antelope hunting. HOWEVER... it is true that the liner jacket is FAR too noisy to use by itself in the field. That renders the jacket more like a 2-in-1 jacket, not a 4-in-1. Unless you like taking long distance running shots at antelope.
That said, it was affordable, has a lot of features including good pockets and good warmth, and actually fits my petite wife thanks to the good advice from Cabela's female customer service rep. We had to get other pants due to the generous waist of the matching youth pants, and therefore I'd like to match the camo pattern of the pants that fit, so we may be sending back the jacket.
That is, if I can pry it from my wife's hands - she loves it. Thanks for making our Christmas a nice one, Cabela's!"

"I purchased this jacket after doing quite a bit a reading the reviews. I figured it would fit both my girlfriend and my daughter and it did. Both of them were always warm when they wore it, even in the rain and snow. It was nice to have people who are new to the sport kept comfortable and dry. I do agree it is a little noisy and I have rain gear made from similar material that is a little noisy as well. However, when trying to sneak within 1-200 yards of a deer here out in MT noise is not that much of a factor and I was more interested in them being comfortable. Overall I would say this was a great product for a beginning hunter."

"Took my two boys deer hunting in West Virginia this year equipped with Cabellas Dry Plus hunting coats and Bibbs. Weather was nasty - soaking rain all day, tem in the low 40's. After six hours in the rain, my kids were soaked, along with sweaters, etc that were underneath. I on the otherhand wore my 30 year old Woolrich, black and red plaid, hunting coat and pants. Coat and pants were wet but warm and the clothes I had on underneath were dry as a bone. Will be talking to Cabelas about how they define "waterproof" in their dry plus gear."

"I love my new coat...I got it for rifle season here in WNY where it can go from 50 to 25 in a couple of hours. Opening day was POURING rain and I spent the whole day out. I wore the hood that day which limited my view some, but I stayed bone dry. Now it is below freezing with wind chills and I was sweating getting to my spot in the woods-stayed warm as I sat for over 3 hours in the snow-only reason I went in was my hands were starting to get a little cold.
Yes it is a bit noisy with the liner-but if there is the slightest breeze or other noise in the woods I think it would be negligible. the cuffs are snug so I take my watch off-but it fits fine in the ample pockets on the front of the coat. I wear a light fleece, poly long johns and a turtle neck under it when it is freezing out and stay plenty warm...great coat ladies! I might buy an extra one. I am only 5'4" and the XL fit me fine"

"I had been looking for a parka...and not MUCH is offered for women. I just happened to think that a youth jacket might fit and luckily it fits wonderfully. I love that the "light" jacket is reversible. The outer shell is very quiet. The only negative thing I can say is the "light" jacket is a little noisy. Hoping to use it this weekend!"

"Purchased for my 13 yr old son. I bought the 2xl- he's 5-5 and avg. build. The coat is a bit large, but will fit him next season...if he does not grow another 5 inches! More importantly, the coat is very well made, every thing it's advertised as being, and was worn during two successful deer hunts this November. One in Vermont and the other in Virginia. Both included wet, cold weather and rough brush/thorny vegetation. No complaints and the parka still looks new. Also worthy of note; both buck's, the second a wise old monster, were inside 30 yards, and both were looked directly toward my son several times before he took his shot. Neither saw any movement or were in the least bit spooked in spite of a significant case of buck fever! Specialty clothes for growing children is a tough call in the best of times, but this parka will certainly out last a many young hunters."
