"Not much to add that others have not said. This product was not well thought out. Should have individual fingers but it does not. My hands are not big, but the finger hole is too small and will lead to problems. I will return to Cabelas and purchase something else. You have got to love their customer support."

"I like mitts normally but these seemed small. Having a hard time opening them up to shoot. They do keep your fingers warm, would be fine if your hands are normal to smaller sized. I ordered the large as specified and should have gone up one size."

"this mitts absolutley blew my mind to how warm my hands stayed in these mitts all the way to 0 degrees now that was on a freight dock riding a forklift on top of the cold. highly recommend this mitts!!!going to try out the fleece socks cabellas has got because i have problems with cold feet and hands but not hands anymore!!do yourself a favor and buy these mitts"

Warm Mitts,

"A good product. Mitts are always better than gloves as they permit full circulation of heat around fingers but with the Thinsulate to keep the heat where I need it, these mitts are a must for cold weather hunting. The finger slot is perfect for shooting.
If there is a drawback, I would have used a fleece-covered magnet to keep the glove back rather than velcro as I always try to maintain the utmost stealth in the woods. The velcro "rip" is noticible."

"The gloves are too small and I ordered the XL's this is what I ware all the time. These were tight going on and my fingers pinky finger to pointer(trigger finger) opening was too tight as well BUT I love the feel and the warmth so I'm sending them back to order 2xl's but cabelas only has them at this time in Hunter Orange."

"I bought these for predator hunting in cold weather. I use a thinsulate liner which holds heat packs in them when it gets real cold. They work well even without the extra liners I bought."

Warm but flawed,

"The mitts kept my hands toasty over long hours in the stand in sub-freezing temperatures, but a flaw caught my attention when the time came to pull back the top and remove my trigger finger. The mitts are equipped with velcro to allow the user to pull back the top portion and stick it to the back of the hand. This keeps the top of the mitt away from your exposed fingers while you're using them. But it didn't work that way with my pair since the right mitt was equipped with two patches of the same soft velcro, as opposed to a soft piece and a hard piece, so it wouldn't stick and thus got in my way while shooting. A minor flaw, sure, but still irritating."

"I bought these mittens in size 2XL so they would fit over light gloves. The only way to go in my opinion. They were a big difference maker during 2 very cold days on the deer stand. The mittens provided the extra margin of warmth needed for the difference between comfort and cold. Finger access through the palm was adequate and quickly available. All in all a very good product.
Two minor improvements that would put these mittens over the top would be to offer them in the "wind shear" or wind block fleece, and to make the knit cuff slightly bigger in diameter, as it is a struggle to put the second mitten on over gloves and a mid layer."
