Great Moose Hunting,October 7, 2009
By trout802from Central Vermont
"I had purchased a similar hat a few years ago. Last year while moose hunting in vermont, I lost my cap. I was devastated.
I found it on Cabela's and purchased it instantly. I love my waterproof, warm cap."

Cabel's GORE-TEX Back Contry Guide Cap,June 17, 2009
By silverlyonsfrom Bad Axe, Michigan
"Love the reversibility and the bill. The bill is small enough to not be in the way of shooting but large enough to keep the rain and snow out of the eyes."

just what i was looking for,December 23, 2008
By simardfrom nh
"great beanie, fits a little on the snug side but it's really warm and comfortable. also a little loud, like having a trash bag inside but i'm assuming when it breaks in that will go away. it's a waterproof cotton beanie, how can you go wrong."

gortex knit hat,November 28, 2008
By gorpenfrom Newfoundland......Canada
"This is a very warm hat, the gortex prevents the cold wind from piercing through and helps keep the heat in, which is exactly why i bought this hat, and i live up north, far up north, i also like the snug fit, again, no lose of head heat. Its also waterproof as was tested in heavy, wet snowy conditions. The bib is usefull in blowing conditions, keeps the elements out of your eyes, the hat fits far down your neckline for further protection, and if you need it it has a roll down ear protector, but you probably won't need it because of its warmth and the gortex factor.
Now, it does have one fault as i see it..........because the fabric is knitted so loose it actually hooks easily if your'e not carefull, and stay away from velcro.
Other than that.....i highly recommend."

Too Small,February 22, 2008
By BlueMinnowfrom Northeast Wisconsin
"I don't have an overly large head. This is way too small. I guess my son will have to wear it. I thought that it would stretch out, but after a few wears it has not. Warm yes. But I don't want to wear it because of the very snug fit."

Terrible hat unless you like noise,January 26, 2008
By Unhappycustomerfrom Piscataway, NJ
"Snap, crackle, pop, that's all you hear from the layers of this hat. I wanted this to replace a similar hat that's going to fall apart after many year's of use. Since ordering, I've found one, so I won't have to bother with this. This is much below the Cabela's norm."

Cabela's GORE-TEX Back Country Guide Cap,November 23, 2006
By Arrowheadfrom Illinois
"I feel that this style of cap is the best i have ever owned.
#1. It has GORE-TEX. #2. Also has Thinsulate. #3. The best part it has a small bill on the front ,for those mornings that the sun would get in your eyes without a bill. #4. I use this style alot bowhunting. #5. It really keeps your head and ears warm."

Great early morning cap,November 21, 2006
By groundpounderfrom Laramie, Wyoming
"The Cabela's Gore-Tex Back Country Guide cap was perfect for the early morning hours when it was very cold. The small bill helped with the sun shine, but it didn't shade very much. The most important feature of the cap was the ability to keep my entire head warm with an extremely light weight cap. It fits neatly into a pack, so when it warms up and its time for a less insulated cap, it will store easily."

Cap Review,November 21, 2006
By Butch13from Ohio
"I teach outdoors frequently during the colder months. I purchased the bright orange model to make myself more visiable to my students. Also to match the bright orange coat I had previously purchased. It definitely makes me visable to my students and, more importatly, it keeps my head and ears warm and comfortable."

Cap review,November 10, 2006
By Wilsonfrom Orlando FL
"I was pleased with the quality of this cap except for the size. I normally wear a Standard Large size. This hat is good only for small or medium heads. One size does not fit all!!! If it fit, I would give a excellent rating but I feel misled."
