"I sat in deer hunting blind for 10 hours and would have froze to death in 10 F. I had 5 layers of under and needed the 7th to stay warm. I geuss the camo pattern was good and I looked good in pitcures but it is not a late season parka."

"This is a good parka for the money. Be advised it is sized generously. I have a 46" chest and ordered a 2XL because I wanted extra room for layering without binding up when raising a rifle but it seems Cabela's already accounted for that when they made it. After 2-3 layers it is still a little too big. I'm going to exchange it for an XL and see if that fits better.
Pro's - The shell is composed of 60% Cotton and 40% Polyester; it is quiet yet durable. Two-way zipper so it doesn't bunch up in you lap when you sit down. Detachable, adjustable hood. Enough pocket room and the chest pockets have a zipper so you won't lose whatever you put in it. It's lightweight yet warm.
Con's - Zipper is very lightweight and whimpy, almost like you would see on a lighweight fleece or jacket. This one works but it feels out of place on a parka and needs a heavier-duty one. Body length is a little too long even for a parka. I'm 6'1" and the sleeve length is perfect but the body length is a little too long, could be about 2" shorter and still fit right.
Overall it's a good parka for the price. The con's of this coat can be dealt with if you don't want to spend as much money."

"I purchased the Late Season parka three years ago and have been very pleased. It has met my every need. Sitting on a tree stand facing into a cold Kansas north wind has not been a problem with this parka.
The pocket space is an extra bonus. There are pockets everywhere to store everything. The side cargo pockets work great for holding my gear and anything else I might bring into the stand. I used to carry a pack with me, but don't worry about it now because I can pack what I need in the parka.
Great parka, would highly recommend."

"A few years ago, I purchased a Cabela's Late Season Parka and Bibs in Seclusion 3D. I have worn them in Ontario, Manitoba, Maine and Illinois and have found them to suit my needs exceptionally in all these locations as well as my home state of New Jersey. They are quiet, comfortable and most importantly for me, they are warm. Last year, in Illinois, the temperature was 6 degrees in the morning and I sat in the treestand in comfort throughout the morning. The thinsulate lite loft insulation provides warmth without all the bulk which can fill up a portable treestand and make maneuverability difficult. The breast pockets in the parka are large enough for binoculars or a rangefinder. The side pockets are roomy enough for most of your gear including a sandwich. They are resilient in light rain and snow, but without goretex, I might hesitate wearing them in heavy rain without rain gear over top of them. For most of my hunting needs, the parka and bibs are all I need, especially for the reasonable price of $200."
