"These boots are hands down the best warm weather (turkey hunting) boots ever created. Snakeproof, waterproof, very light, and super comfortable. The soles are more like hiking boots than hunting boots. You can chase a gobbler for miles through mud, bryers, sticks, and rocks and your feet will stay dry and happy. When you get back to the camp, the zipper makes removal a snap. You can take them off with one hand. There is a special place in heaven for the saint who designed these masterpieces."

"For eveyone out there these boots are really confortable and I highly recommend purchasing these. Hunting in Texas during bow and spring turkey season you can really come close to some deadly encounters. These boots are well made and will definitely be a huge investment. The only thing I can say negative about these is that they are a little warm but it's okay because I plan on wearing them during the regular winter season. Nice pair, great buy, and you will not be disappointed!!!"

"Cabelas Snakeproof Pinnacles were recommended by a hunting buddy. Nonetheless, I researched the internet and read every review before I ordered them. They are fantastic. I live and hunt in Florida where the snakes never take a break for cold weather.The first time I tried them on I was hooked on their comfort. Never owned a pair of boots (especially snakeproof boots) that are this confortable. Walk for miles in them with no discomfort, no blisters and no wet feet. First pair suffered minor problem when the seam ripped on one boot after only 3 weeks wear (although admittedly HARD WEAR). Seam was sewn too close to the edge of the leather. Cabelas stood behind them and shipped me a new pair immediately. I like the boots and the service so well that I ordered another 'back up' pair just in case someone at Cabelas makes a stupid decision and decides to change or discontinue the boot in the name of 'improvement'. So far, no leaks, no discomfort and no other problems. I wear mine all of the time and would recommend them without hestitation."

"Nice boots if you dont plan to walk very far. Scouted several weeks ago and walked just over 4 miles (gps). The left side of one of the boots started to dig into my heel causing it to bleed (started after several hours). If you dont plan on walking to far the boots would be good. I definitely wont be able to wear them turkey hunting."

"I was extremely pleased with my Snakeproof Pinnacle/Zipper Hunting Boots at first. They are easy to put on, really comfortable, and they look pretty cool, too. I walked many miles in them the first hunting season I used them without getting my feet wet. Then when I used them for early season scouting the next year they leaked like crazy. Now, I don't know about you, but I think you should get several seasons of use for the price. I called Cabela's and they were real nice about it, replacing them with no hassle whatsoever. Fine and dandy. Then the same thing happened with the next pair; got one hunting season with dry feet and then during early season scouting they leaked again. Here in Florida there are plenty of swamps with plenty of snakes. That's why I wanted this particular pair of boots. I can't say if the snakeproof feature is effective because so far I've managed to avoid getting bitten. I'll just have to take their word for it. But wet feet don't cut it!! As long as you only hunt dry areas they're jam-up!"

"I have worn these out in the field only three times now. Scouting and setting trail cams. So far I love these boots.... very comfortable....hiked about 10 miles in them on one trip. very surprised about the fit and comfortable without any break in time.

Although I haven't had to use Cabela's Snakeproof Pinnacle Zipper Hunting Boots in defense mode, I am confident they will protect me when I get caught off guard in an unexpected encounter with a rattler. "Sometime during my second Texas archery season using these snake boots the soles started to fall off. I tried using shoe glue and that worked for a short while but the soles were just hanging on by the end of the season. I didn't use these boots heavily, I'm well over 60 and have some experience with hunting boots. I would not recommend these boots to anyone."

"Have given the boots a good workout. Went away to the Missouri Ozarks for a week. boots were good on the mountain sides and especillaly good in wet areas. they did not leak and it was great just slipping the boots on. I take a size 12 and my first order was a 13. Too big and I sent them back. The 12 was a good fit. Highly recommend them."

"I purchased the Pinnacle GoreTex, Scentlok, Snakeproof boots and really love them. They are light and require no break in. Howevr, the GoreTex lining failed after several seasons and the boots could not be waterproffed after that. Great Cabelas' service replaced the boots at no charge and now I am ready to hunt again. I use them for turkey as well as deer hunting. Deer cannot detect where you walk with these scentlok boots. I live in Florida and it does get cold here. When it is really cold I wear two pair of thick socks and they ikeep my feet warm even without insulation. The breathing ability of the GoreTex (when its working) keeps moisture from chilling your feet. They are expensive, but Cabelas stands behind their products 100%. They are well worth the price as they perform as no other single pair of boots I own. Do youself a favor and buy a pair. You won't be sorry!"

"Went out to work lease and found land flooded. Road around land on cart and walked some in water up to 12" deep saw no snakes. Very very comfortable and didn't get wet at all. I would definetly recommend without the blink of an eye."

"The Pinnacle boot is advertised as 100% waterproof, it is. The turkey season this year was a wet one, but my feet were always dry with this boot. The boot did not sweat my feet either. Although I can't give first hand testimony as to whether it will turn a rattlesnake strike, he didn't strike eventhough I was about 6" away from his head, I believe the boot construction is such that it would. What I like about the boot is that it is easy to put on and get off. Much easier that the lace up snake boots that I have. I was worried that the boot might rub my leg because it is a looser fit than lace up boots, but I did a lot of walking and they didn't. Overall it is a very comfortable, well built boot that I would highly recommend to others."
