A human whisper from 5 feet away produces 20 decibels. This extremely quiet, durable and compact blind heater produces only 16.5 decibels, about 30% less than that of a standard propane heater, so you can hear the whistling of wings, approaching game and shots in the distance. It generates 11,000 BTUs and can be used as a space heater or as a stove for a coffee pot or for cooking up a midmorning snack. It has a piezo electronic ignitor, and it can run up to 1 hour, 45 minutes on a 1-pound propane cylinder. Or, it can be used with bulk tanks with optional hose assemblies. It will run 36 hours on a 20-pound tank. Size: 16"H x 10"W x 9-1/2"D.

Heater/Cooker,November 10, 2009
By p0007from N minn
"Pros- The infrared is very quiet compared to the traditional mr. heater's, The stand is a much better system than the heaters that sit atop the 1lb cylinder with the flimsy plastic base that always fall over. Plus it can be used as a small cooker! This heater works great in my deer stand, I have used it both with 1 lber's and with a hose to a 20lb tank.
Cons- It needs an adjustable regulator on it so you can turn it down, The fixed setting chews through 1lb cyl's pretty quick plus once it warms up my stand i'd like to put it on a lower setting. A quieter igniter would be nice, since its so loud i use a lighter instead.
Overall - i would highly recommend this heater, i have used most styles and this seems to be the best overall"

quiet blind heater,March 30, 2009
By instaGatorfrom Augusta, Georgia
"I bought this for night fishing in my boat. It works very well and is indeed very quiet. It projects heat 5 or 6 feet and is just right for making coffee in the morning. I gave it four stars because it is not adjustable and it will singe the hair off of your arm if you have it in front of the heater when you light it. You will only do it once!"

Heater/Cooker,February 25, 2009

"My biggest complaint was that it has only one temp. setting unlike any other heater. I returned this product because the thought of constantly shutting it off when I got hot and then re-lighting it when I got cold didn't appeal to me."

Quiet Blind heater and cooker,February 23, 2009
By Engravermanfrom Galveston, Indiana
"In a few years we will be retiring to Minnesota. My wife and I are very serious about hunting and fishing. We will be looking forward to getting some serious use and comfort from this item. It will serve a dual purpose. Through being able to cook and use as a heater also. Along with the eZ- fill propane adapter we purchased for the small propane tanks. This should give us many years of pleasure with out busting the bank. Being retired we will be on a fixed budget. I see for one big thing about the cooking. A pot of hot coffee and warm soup while ice fishing. many of these items for sale are for heating only. This item does it both. Smelling the Venison stew and hot Joe already. Fishing a bonus. Not to mention the heat while deer hunting in a blind.Hey, if momma isn't happy, Nobody is happy!"

Heater/Cooker,February 10, 2009
By Robert516from Indiana
"The heater worked great in the blind and stores fairly well. The only thing I didn't like about it is the placement of the starter button. The wire of the button is not protected very well. After three uses the wire developed a break right against the bracket for the button. After talking to other hunters it appears that this is common with a lot of these heaters."

"Works well in the blind, will actually cook you out. Had a difficult time heating up an 8x8 tent, but thats a little beyond what it was designed for. You have to be in the immediate area to get the most benefit from it."

Quiet blind cooker/heater,December 22, 2008
By Anonymousfrom louisiana
"I took this thing with me camping in west texas where they don't allow wood or charcoal fires and it performed great. I used it for both cooking and as heat. The only complaint i have is that it doesn't have an adjustment for heat, its either on or off and that complicates things when cooking but if you are just using it to boil coffee water or something like that it wouldn't be a problem."

Blind Heater,December 16, 2008
By Browning676from Hudson, Wisconsin
"I used the blind heater in the wisconsin deer hunting season. It was great, I usually get a little cold during the morning and the evening but not with this heater it kept me plenty warm. It wasn't to bad on gas either. The one thing I would suggest is that there should be some kind of a hook, or attachment to hang the heater because it is sorta cumbersome. Other then that it was great and the rest of the guys were a little jealous."

Heater/Cooker,December 15, 2008
By KEBryantfrom Charleston, SC
"This is a decent item. Came fully assembled but was assembled wrong. Had to spend about 30 minutes reworking the piping to get this item to hold a 1lb bottle. After some work, the heater came to life. Definitely puts off some heat. Have not cooked with it yet, but I am sure that it would do the job."

Works like a charm,December 3, 2008
By 05sbfrom Michigan
"I bought this heater to use inside a hunting blind so my daughter wouldn't get cold while out der hunting with me. It worked like a charm. According to what I read, this heater would run for about 1.6 hours on a 1 pound tank. We had no problem staying warm for the entire morning's hunt. Like others, if I could change one thing about it I would add a temperature adjustment feature."
