T/C "E-Z Tip" extractor,

"Generally works great, but had an occasion where the breech plug was fully reinserted, tipped the extractor up, tried to close the gun, and the extractor sheared right off at the screw on which it rotates or is attached to the portion which goes under the breech plug. The extractor did not readily return to the proper position when tipped up. Now I have to replace the extractor. Need to do something to indicate whether the extractor is completely in the proper position before closing the action. Apparently, one must manually push the extractor in as far as possible before closing the action. I actually have wondered why there even needs to be an extractor after this occurred as the 209 primer still goes in properly and still must be manually removed after firing just as before. The extractor seems to be an extraneous and unnecessary part."

"this is a great product before i had to take my encore apart to clean the breech plug but now i just flip the e-z tip to the side and pull out the breech plug clean it and put it back in and i'm ready to go.i would recommend this product if you dont have one you need to get one."

"This is the product that should be sold with ALL models of Encore. The time it saves, and the hassle, of dissasembly is amazing. If you have an Encore muzzeloader, and don't have one of these, spend the money, you'll be happy you did."

"Great idea! The only snag is the same as another reviewer stated that it would not fit into the slot. I called Thompson Center and they stated that sometimes there is a burr in the slot that snags on the extractor because it is thicker. They suggested filing it out to make it fit. It took maybe 30 seconds to file and the EZ Tip Extractor fell right in and worked beautifully. I would highly recommend to everyone as a timesaver (could save your hunt in the field also!). Keep in mind this little trick in case yours doesn't slide right in."

"my son has a encore 50 cal and cleaning was a nightmare you had to break down the hole gun to get the preach plug out. but thanks to t.c. and cableas you put this little bad boy in and no more break down just swing it to the side and you can take out the plug... very easy to install and you can't beat the price thanks again cabela's"
