"a great jacket for hunting. it is very warm. i was sweating just walking 400 yards in 40 degree weather. it was pouring and I stayed dry. it is very bright orange. it arrived at my house in only 4-5 days. i hope to wear it snowboarding this winter. it is kind of bulky and harder to shoot my bow with it on."

"I was very pleased with the versatility of this parka and zip-out jacket. These two items will work separately and together during the full range of temperatures in NH winters. I particularly wanted this coat to wear snowshoeing in the forest and had been looking for the blaze camouflage pattern rather than just solid orange. The fabric is nice and soft - not noisy, and lightweight for wearing all day in comfort without needing too many layers underneath. There are plenty of pockets for carrying gear and everything seems to have been well thought-out."

"Great Jacket - I like the zip out liner. I bought a Medium Reg. Normally I float back and fourth between being a large or a medium size. But this jacket is a very big medium. I still have plenty of room for under layers. Otherwise a great coat. Tons of pockets."

"I ordered this coat to wear on the flight line working nights in Iraq this winter. I wish I had ordered the jacket earlier. its comfortable and warmer than I thought it would be,the pockets are large enough to hold all the gear I need out there. the 3-D blaze orange camo is great on a busy flight line I only wish it were reversable for daylight hours (snipers) I get strange looks in the mornings."

A Great Late Season Blaze Parka,January 23, 2009

"I got the blaze camo version to replace my old coat of 13 years. I first ordered the XL based on the recommended measurements, but I was drowning in the coat so returned that in favor of a Large. Also note that Cabelas was true to their speedy delivery and on time so it was received before the 1st day of WI gun deer season even though I had only 4 days before opener when the 2nd coat was ordered. Coat performed very well keeping me warm especially on the opener of -2 below in northern Wisconsin. Stands up to brush but I was overheating during drives. A great all around coat though if you don't mind stripping down layers as you become more active during the day. Definitely a good coat for the money. Pockets are easily accesible and the coat is sized just right so when loaded up with gear and climbing tree stands, you don't feel so bulky. I don't prefer hoods so I detatched that right away. Zipper and snap pockets are great and the only Velcro is on the cuffs so that was also good (Velcro is loud in the quiet of the woods).
I also got the pants to go with this and they had a seam tear but they have stood up to tough wear and all temps. I used these products when pheasant hunting the late season to be well seen by deer hunters and they were great except I got too hot but that was to be expected given the hard terrain I hunted in. Definitely a recommended product I expect to last me 10 years."

"Bought two, for my brother and I to use in Iowa for deer hunting. Weather was very cold , wind chill well below zero, with snow and freezing rain at times. I was out in this stuff for hours at a time. This parka is comfortable, warm and dry! Quiet, easy to wear, great pockets, two zippers very convenient...money well spent. My brother would die for me now."

"Excellent overall Jacket the best jacket I ever had next to my Grand-fathers age old Woolrich all wool jacket. The jacket seems heavy when you take it off the hook but once its on you you don't notice it. The versatility of the two jackets is endless for stalking, still hunt and foul weather. In 2008 in northeast PA we had some foul mixed cold weather and I stayed dry and warm the three weeks of bear and deer season. Did not have any real problems with the noise of the inner liner, but I washed the inner liner with some fabric softener then rewashed in a scent killer detergent. That washing seemed to soften and quiet the inner liner. The outer liner I'll never wash. The only reason I didn't rate the jacket 5 stars is because I would have rather had the upper chest pocket on the outer shell fleece lined to be more warmer then the current material."

"I have read several reviews that say the jacket is big. I thought this at first too, until I tried on the inside jacket on it's own and saw that it fit perfectly. The outside shell has two tightening points that made it fit very well. Once you put some average cold weather wear underneath, it fits perfectly. It is very warm and comfortable. I find it quiet. Really you aren't using it for archery hunting. All araound I am quite happy with the jacket."
