Well wearing shoe - good value,

"I purchased these at the Wheeling, WV store about a year and a half ago. I've been pleased with them. I typically wear them approximately 4 days per week, and they have lasted quite well. The Gore-tex liners in the shoes seem to be retaining their waterproof qualities.
The only watchout - I ordered a second pair through cabelas.com recently (September 2009), and the color of the shoes as received did not match the photograph on the site or my existing pair. They were much lighter in color than the photo portrayed. My old shoes do match the photo. I used the exact same product ID number from the old shoe box.
Unfortunately, I'm going to be sending the new pair back. Hopefully, the next pair will match the description."

"I purchased these work boots for my husband who is on his feet most of the day. They fit comfortably and are true to size, as I ordered them online. They are a light brown rather than dark brown as advertised, but look very nice. Great shoe and "comfy" from day one!!! Will be purchasing a second pair soon!!"

"From the picture, I thought I was getting a darker pair of Oxfords that look just like a great pair of expensive Rockports that lasted me a long time. Instead, I found these are a lot lighter in color than the picture shows. They also have more of a suede look and feel. The plus is that they still look nice and are very comfortable. I gave it 4 stars instead of five only because the picture is definitely different than the actual shoes."

"I wanted to get a pair of oxfords similar to the brand name shoes that I purchased from Cabelas. They are very close, but not quite as comfortable. Good looking shoes that apear to be very well made. I'm sure they will break in just fine, but I wish they still offered the the other brand, just a personal preference."

"Impressed with the overall look and fit, but have not had a chance to wear the shoes much as I bought them mainly for the Fall. However, the tongue of the shoes bite slightly into the tendon in the front of my ankles. I am hoping this to be a matter of break-in. It is as much a function of the way my feet are built, as others may not experience this problem. I seem to have this issue with any number of shoes I have purchased, and over time, I have been able to break them in. So, all in all, I am pleased with the purchase."

"Absolutely the best combination of durability, comfort and looks that I have ever found in a casual shoe. I've been wearing a pair of these outstanding shoes (at least 2 to 4 times a week) for over 3 years now and the only part of them that is showing any wear to speak of would be the soles and the shoelaces. They are still as waterproof today as they were the first day I had them. I've been looking around to see if there was anything out there that I would like better to no avail. I'm placing my order for another pair of these babies."

"Just as the title of this review says these are not good looking shoes but they are functional and comfortable. The shoe was much lighter in color live than on the internet and to my surprise suede like. So if think function over form go for it. If you need both go somewhere else."

"I have has these boot for over 4 months now and am very happy. These are as good or better than any of the Cabelas brand boots I have purchased before. The boots have excellent tread and traction. They are great for all types of terrain and weather conditions. Though kind of ugly, I like the rubber toe covering. My previous boots all quickly were cut up on the toes, but the covering protects well.
The boot require some modest break in time to soften and flex with your foot, but they are comfortable from the first wearing and continue to improve. I can wear these boots all day with no problem. They have become my everyday outdoor pair. I even have used them for pheasant hunting because of the light weight and excellent ankle support.
These boots are versatile, very comfortable and sturdy. I highly recommend them."
