From the Iditarod trail to the treestand, these boots have proven they are true cold-weather performers.
13mm Texel® removable liners reflect heat inward to minimize loss. Beneath that, the moisture
trap footbeds wick away perspiration and condensation. The 1/2" layers of EVA foam, coupled with the
nylon-covered Phylon midsoles, put 3" of cold-blocking material between your feet and the ground.
GORE-TEX® Scent Control™ liners provide 100% waterproof, breathable comfort, plus
the scent-containing qualities you need to get close to game. The tough, flexible vamps are protected
by triple-layer, abrasion-resistant toe guards, and the rubber toe caps ensure longer wear. These 15"
boots have silent Tietex outer shells and Tec Tuff camo uppers. The 8" liners allow for pants inside the
boots, and the rip-stop snow guard cuffs help keep out snow. They're easy to tighten, thanks to a one-pull ball bearing lacing system. Inside each boot, a heat pack pocket allows you to insert toe warmer heat packs. Imported. Order next size up if wearing with heavy socks. Average weight: 6 lbs./pair.
Height: 15".

Saskatchewan Pac Boots,January 29, 2009
By MOODIEfrom Brick, NJ
"Great for extreme cold, I put 12 hours in a tree stand in single digit weather. They are built well and may appear clumbsy to walk in but are actually very user friendly. They are everything I wanted, make that NEEDED in a cold weather hunting boot."

Great Boots!,January 27, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Mid-Coast Maine
"I have been plagued with cold feet for several years now. I bought a pair of "insullated" boots last year as my normal leaather boots were just not cutting it here in Maine. I made it through last year OK, but not this year. Truns out, the only thing insullated in them is the leather "ankle", the rubber "foot" has nothing other than a cloth liner stuck to the rubber. (I ended up almost getting frost bite after snowblowing our driveway, and it was only in the upper teens, not all that cold.) Rather than chance a major problem, my wife sent me looking for boots. I found this pair and after reading the other reviews, decided to buy them.
Man, am I impressed! These are the warmist boots I have ever worn!
I do have a few comments on some of the reviews I read. First, the soles are not 3 or 4 inches thick as some seem to think. The toes on mine are not even that think. They are not any harder to walk in then my normal work boots. (If the only shoes you ever wear are sandles or dress shoes, you might need to get used to them, otherwise no big deal.) No problems driving in them either (although there IS less room under the emergancy brake peddle for my left foot!).
Second, I don't understand why people insist on using multiple layers of socks with these boots. The only reason to use that many socks is to make up for deficiencies in the boot design - usually lack of insullation - and these boots don't need any help. The booties are moisture wicking and the insullation is excellent.
Third, there is no need to order them extra large. I wear the same socks in them that I wear in my normal boots. I normally wear a 9 1/2 EE, but these are only available in full sizes. As per Cabelas recommendation, I ordered a size 10. They fit just like my normal boots.
My only complaint is that the elastic strap on the insullated booty hits me right across the tendon in the front of my ankle. Extended wearing makes a sore spot there (no injury, just irritating), but over time I am getting used to it. Also, the loose tongue on the booty is hard to keep in place when putting the boots on. Luckily there is enough room in the boot to reach in and straighten it out once you have the boot on.
One piece of advice - DO NOT remove the booty and put it on first! It is a major pain to put the boots on if you do. It is much easier to slide your foot into the booty and the boot at the same time. Just make sure that the pull loop on the booty goes through the retaining loop inside the boot (mine came that way). You can stick a finger in the booty loop and another in the boot loop at the same time and pull them both as a single unit. Kudoos to Cabelas for an excellent design feature!
Aslo, wear the slickest pair of socks you own, warm fuzzies just make it harder to put the boots on and they don't need any help with the insulation. I've been out for hours in subzero weather with them and have yet to come in with even cool feet - normally they are almost too hot! No problems at all - even at 20 below!"

Sizing runs 2 sizes too small,January 11, 2009
By GENERALISTfrom NC
"cabelas need sot correct the sizing. I wear a 10.5 shoe and I bought the 11. it was tight with only an athletic sock. You need them loose with the ability to add thic socks and toe warmers if needed so get 2-2.5 sizes over your athletic shoe size."

Sask Boots Rule in da' UP eh?,January 6, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Upper Peninsula, Kingsford, Michigan (very cold)
"These boots are hands down the best and warmest boots I've ever owned. I used them while deerhunting from a treestand in 5 degrees and 15 mph breeze. I walked in about 3/4 mile, climbed 22 feet into my stand and sat continuously in a rather cramped position for nearly 6 hours in a dense hemlock grove (no sunshine). My feet remained toasty warm except for the last 30 minutes, when I had to stand up and restore my circulation to my lower legs. The boots are very solidly built and breathe very nicely. I love the easy pull laces and sliding stops; so quick to put on and take off. My only recommendadtion from improvement is to put a lug on the heel for boot removal. From what I've seen so far, I expect to have these boots for many years. I'm very satisfied and would highly recommend these boots to any serious midwinter hunter or ice fisherman."

not so warm,December 18, 2008
By dirtystewartfrom mid west, wisconsin
"i really wasn't all that impressed with these boots. i bought them for just sitting in my deerstand. so, i carried them out to my stand, changed into them, and changed my socks, then just sat. my feet were cold within an hour. i walked out of the woods in them, and my feet were sweating so bad i had to put my socks in the dryer. so, i'm not really sure what they were designed for...."

Great Boots!!!,December 15, 2008
By superhunterjohnfrom wallington nj
"These boots are great!!!! I have really bad circulation problems and I can not STAND cold weather, along with my heater body suite, I can sit through anything mother nature hits me with!!! I'm used to Florida weather, and I really can't stand the cold... I've tried all types of boots and these definitely deserve 10 stars!!!! The only minor problem is that they are not good for walking, but who cares I HATE the cold and these are the BEST!!!"

Pac Boot,February 20, 2008
By sneer73
"Very impressed with the warmth...and surprisingly not that heavy. Very comfortable to walk in...the draw cord laces allow you to fasten the boat securely to your foot (much better than any other winter boat I've had). The only sources of dissapointment were: (1) the felt exterior only covers a portion of the boot...there are still clasps, draw cords and rubber to make noise, (2) being that the boot is elevated 3 inches, it isn't very stable side to side (keep in mind that I have very weak ankles)."
