Built for extreme warmth plus hunting boot comfort, the Predator Extreme is ready for everything from late-season hunts to snowmobiling adventures to ice fishing in sub-zero conditions. Constructed from the inside out with the key focus on warmth and comfort in brutally cold environments, the boot boasts a removable 9mm Texel® liner that warms your feet and draws moisture away from the surface of the skin. And, for even more insulation, the boot is outfitted with a layer of 1,200-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra insulation for optimum heat retention. For the ultimate abrasion resistance, the exterior is crafted with a full-grain leather shaft and polyurethane molded shell panels. Non-glare, dimpled PU panels. Matte-finished EVA midsole soaks up ground shock. Roller-bearing and hook lacing system. Order the next larger size if you wear a half size. Order next size up if wearing with heavy socks. Best pac boot available,October 27, 2009
By Daltonfrom Nevis, Minnesota
"The Predator boots are the best cold weather pac boot available in my opinion, and I've owned many other brands. This pair I recently purchased for my son, but my pair is 4 years old and has seen hard wear hunting in brushy, crusty snowy areas in northern Minnesota, and for work use as well, and they still are intact and not leaking. The liners have a small pouch in the toe area for a disposable heater, but it isn't really needed unless you're going to be stationary in 30 below weather for several hours. The liner actually does wick moisture away from your feet and is easily removable for drying. These boots are warm, but they are bulky and have a little weight to them, but tolerable. Order one size bigger than you normally wear, as the insulation and liner system make the boot snug. You won't be disappointed in these boots."

Great Pac Boot for hunting and fishin,September 25, 2009
By CountyDeerhunterfrom Maine
"I have had this boot for about 3 - 4 or more years. It is a great boot for the weather. I have used them for hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, you name it.
My only concern is the meshy fabric starts to tear after a while when you tie them up. Cabelas, can you fix this? I am sure some others may have had the same problem. Other than that, the boots are excellent.
My feet have gotten cold with other boots but these ones are by far the best. Highly recommended. Go Cabelas."

Cumbersome but warm,August 22, 2009
By Allonsfrom Northern Illinois
"I wore a pair of La Crosse heavily insulated boots for first Illinois gun season - it was wind chill of about -10F and it took about 30 minutes in the truck with heat blasting to get the feeling back at the end of each day
I then bought these boots before the 2nd season and my feet were toasty each of the 3 days - it was -30 windchill
I agree with what others say about sizing - be sure to buy them a size or two larger than normal
Be forewarned - they are bulky - definitely can be dicey affair climbing treestand steps and maneuvering around the treestand platform in them - tad bit heavy too All in all - would recommend"

Predator boots run small in size,March 28, 2009
By Chantillyfrom Love to deer hunt in Virginia, Chantily VA.
"The boot is great however I should have done what the reviews said "buy one size larger", the boots run small for size. I have bought Cabela's boots for years and always bought my normal size. The predator is cut at least a size small. I had to go up one whole boot size to fit my foot and then I cannot wear the new extra thick cabels wool socks."

Great for Norway,March 23, 2009
By meliaslfrom New York, NY
"Bought these boots before traveling to the northernmost part of Norway (Alta and Hammerfest). Temps reach -40 there. The boots were the BEST: warm, light, was able to ride a snowmobile, sled with huskies, hike! Also, all the native Norwegians were incredibly impressed with them and kept asking to look at them."

Wow!!!,March 9, 2009
By ChristianInSaratogaCountyfrom Clifton Park NY (at the foot of the Adirondacks!!)
"I have used this boots for all-day ice-fishing excursions and snow plowing my driveway. They are the warmest boots I have ever worn. They are cumbersome to wear at first, but easy to adjust to. What an enjoyable experience ice-fishing is when your darn feet are warm! Thanks, Cabelas."

A very large boot,March 7, 2009
By fromNewHampshirefrom New Hampshire
"I did read the reviews before I purchased the boot. Someone mentioned that this was large boot. I did not really understand that comment until the boot came in. It is a huge boot that must be very warm. It was just too big for my use."

TOASTY WARM,February 28, 2009
By pupsmomfrom Ma.
"I've been looking for a boot that will keep my feet warm as I sit in a tree from dawn to dark and these are the ticket. I purchased these last fall and won't go hunting without them when the temps dip below 32. They do run a little small .. I normally wear a size 9 but had to go to a size 11. they are a little on the bulky side but that is ok with me as it slows me down while still hunting."

Toasty warm,February 25, 2009
By FlaJJ
"I wore these boots snowmobiling a week after they were purchased. My feet were never even slighty cold. Although at first, they seem like a large boot, they are not heavy nor are they bulky to walk in. Just make sure that you buy these for the really cold weather."

Good boot, but order big,February 25, 2009
By PaulC2
"After reading the other reviews on this boot, I ordered a size 11 for my size 9 feet. They fit perfectly. I am wearing this boot on a outdoor job on the North Slope of Alaska this winter, and it is working very well, my feet stay warm and dry. I bought a pair after a team member brought his up, now three out of four of us are using them; Several other members of the crew have purchased them as well, it is THE new boot of the year on our project."

size,February 24, 2009
By icemannhfrom windham,nh
"I loved the boot when I recevied it , however, the sizing chart is not even close to accurate, I were a size 10 eee, I used the chart & ordered size 11, had to return to small, my toe was jamming in the end.
I ordered size 12 and now the lenght was ok but the width was so narrow, there was still no way I could were them. had to return them again, I evern bought the socks from cabela's they recomended.
I do not under stand why a snow boot would be so narrow. very dissatisfied !!!!"

Good Boots,February 13, 2009
By 13838from Snowy Upstate New York
"I make hand cart deliveries of food to northern Maine. I have to push a heavy handcart through deep snow, ice and water. The Cabela’s Predator™ Extreme Pac Boots have excellent traction in all surfaces. The tread is deep and bites down into snow.
Another benefit is when driving my tractor trailer to Maine I do not have to use any heat on the floorboards of the truck. I can direct all the heat to the defroster in snowy or icy conditions and my feet remain toasty warm hour after hour. The liners come out easily and can be dried quickly overnight.
These boots are for extremely cold weather and have provided me a good value for my investment.
Stay warm any way you can.
Roger"

3 stars but maybe 5 in most cases,February 10, 2009
By ColdFeet101
"My toes get colder than the "average joes" so I may not be the best one to review these boots. I went outside at -20 f. with one extreme pack boot on one foot and a boot I have been using made with 400 gram isolation < which should have been far less effective given the amount of isolation and special build of Predator pac boot on the other foot. After 30 min both feet had cold toes. Many other people have great success with these boots and because I have never found a boot that helps my toes I don't know just how to rate them but ( for me anyway ) I had no choice but give them 3 star rating."

so good I bought another pr. for my loving brother,January 28, 2009
By newyorkwoodboyfrom Upstate new york - lots of cold and snow.
"These boots are for cold weather stand hunting. I wore them for the first time in the stand on a 5degree (farenheit) day and they kept my feet warm - First boots where I could sit all day in that temp. range. They are big (really big) so they are clumbsy in tight spaces or on small stands. They are nice and stiff, good for walking in deep snow. Do not walk far though or your feet will get very hot. You must order two sizes larger than your normal size. I take a 9.5 and I ordered size 11 and they just fit perfect. I liked the boots so much I bought my brother a pair for christmas and he loves them."
