Warmest Boots Ever,November 10, 2009
By GinoXLfrom Sandusky, OH
"I go ice fishing in Cadillac Michigan every year and I finally decided to spend the money and get a great pair of boots. When they first arived I was amazed at how big and bulky they were, they almost looked to big to wear. (Would recommend a size or 2 bigger as odd as that sounds.) But I decided to try them out anyways. Was out ice fishing all day in sub zero wheather with a pair of thin wicking sox and a pair of thick thermo and feet never got cold, actually sweated(no ice shanty). So the next day in sub zero wheather i decided to try just the thin whicking sox and it worked great. these boots are amazing if you want your feet to stay warm. Hard driving and driving 4 wheeler with foot clutch but is possible. As big and bulky as they are it is not bad walking in them very comfortable and feet dont hurt."

"These boots have satisfied my every need. If its from sitting in the deer stand muzzleloading in -20 temps or ice fishing across the border in Canada in -35 temps, these boots have withstood all the elements of the harsh winters. These boots are made for the extreme cold, if you are planning on using them in temps around the freezing mark your feet are going to roast. The boot is a bit heavy but I don't plan on running any marathons in them. Overall, once again a very good product from Cabelas. They get 5 stars from me."

"These boots are great. I needed winter hunting boots. These are extremely comfortable, warm and keep my feet dry. We'll see what happens in the treestand around mid-February."
cold and disappointed,May 11, 2009
By stillcoldsdfrom sd
"I purchased these boots for deer hunting in mid-november in south dakota. I have never been more disappointed in a cabelas product. Yes, the boots were a little bulky, but I did not mind that as long as my feet would be warm. However, they were not. Sittting in an open pasture on the side of a stock dam was excrutiating. We had a very steady wind that day and the temp was at least -25. I was outfitted so the rest of my body was comfortable but by the time I was ready to leave I could hardly feel my feet to walk to the pickup. I have tried them for ice fishing as well w/ the same reults, cold numb feet. I will give these boots another shot this fall but if they don't work out the only thing they will be insulating will be the inside of my trash can."
Cold Feet No More,March 21, 2009

"I work outside during the cold winter months in Wisconsin and these boots with one pair of socks kept my feet warm and dry. I also took them on the ice for fishing and had no problems. Also sat in treestand all day with no cold feet."

"I have always had trouble keeping my feet warm as I am a lineman and work outside in all weather. These boots not only kept my feet warm but were also very comfortable and lightweight. The only issue I have is you do have to order them 2 sizes bigger."

Great boots,February 24, 2009

"I live in northern Manitoba where the temperature can be -35C in the morning when we leave Town by snow machine looking for caribou. Feet never warmer. Great support. For the price you can't go wrong."
awesome boots,February 24, 2009
By brian2from kendallville, in.
"i bought them just for ice fishing. i only had a chance to wear them 5 or 6 times, but it was really cold outside and my feet never got cold. so i guess they did what i bought them for. i don't use a shanty just a bucket so that says a lot for the boots to keep my feet from getting cold considering the temps were probably around 5 degrees with the wind howling. they are bulky though, and the advise i read in the other reviews about wearing them around the house to get used to them was helpful. they are almost impossible to drive in. not that they are too big it's just that they don't flex with the ankles so feeling the gas peddle isn't an easy task. the pictures in the website don't do any justice to the actual size of the boot's. bottom line is if you want to keep your feet warm in the coldest conditions then these boots will work for you, the bulkyness is just part of the package. i recommend these boots to everyone."
Predator boots,February 23, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Cleveland, Ohio
"I rate these boots very high. They are perhaps a little large in appearance, but once they are on, I am not aware. They are the first boot to keep my feet warm while I work. I work out doors in all kinds of weather and it involves gathering samples and standing in one place to read the samples, at times for 30 to 40 minutes without moving. Prior boots could not begin to keep my feet warm. The predators do the job and are amazingly comfortable even while hiking. The very large foot print gives very good stability on rough surfaces to the point that rocks and tree branches are not even felt under foot. Hiking in snow seems effortless compared to other boots. This is a great product."
great boot,February 18, 2009
By beatmanfrom Massachusetts
"Great boot! I use this boot primarily for ice fishing. My feet NEVER get cold. The liner helps to wick moisture away. So even if your feet sweat while moving you can stop and sit for hours without your feet getting cold. Will probably use them also for late season deer hunts in the snow."
Awesome for warmth!,February 16, 2009
By sdb111from Canada
"These boots are extremelly warm as I sat out ice fishing for about 4 hours in -15C without being cold. The boots are well woth the price. The reason for only 4 stars is that they are quite bulky and stiff which would make it hard for hunting if you walk alot."
"Finally a PAC BOOT that keeps your lower digits warm, and at price that the working man can afford. I used these in coyote hunt in North Dakota in Feburary, so that should tell anyone all they need to know, My aching cold feet are the toughest thing for me to deal with in the North Dakota winter hunting months, not anymore! Oh and they are also perfect for snowblowing . Thanks again Cabelas !"

"I am really impressed with the quality of these boots. Well constructed and very warm. I do a lot of still hunting. Slipping through the woods slowly, sometimes stopping for hours with temperatures often in the teens on uneven and often slippery ground. Not having to march in place to keep my feet warm is an advantage in remaining undetected. Would I wear them for bird hunting or deer drives? ... no. But, these boots are perfect for my application. Seemingly a little bulky at first, was able to quickly adjust. They are only slightly larger overall than my old "Mickeys" and they offer much superior traction and support. Very easy to don and doff by first placing the insulated liner on, then slipping into the boot. The roller bearing eyelets on the foot section make it simple to adjust to a snug fit without any fumbling around. While wearing bulky clothing this factor was VERY appreciated. I would definitely recommend them."
Awesome pac boot,February 5, 2009
By gusher1from Ixonia, WI
"I have never purchased a pac boot in the past, so for a first-time buyer I was completely satisfied! I was going ice fishing for the first time and knowing how cold my feet get while in the stand all day, I decided it was time to try a pac boot. The ice fishing was great as my feet did not get the slightest cold! I can't wait for deer hunting in 2009! And they are very comfortable even while walking. Thanks Cabelas!"
Extreme Pac Boots,February 5, 2009
By ShooterinPAfrom Girard, PA
"These boots live up to their name. They are comfortable and keep my feet warm and toasty. I have always been sensitive to the cold and especially to my feet. These boots are replacing a similar pair that have worn out and have sprung a very small water leak."
Predator™ Extreme Pac Boots,February 4, 2009
By Lumberjack48from Big woods WI & U.P.
"These boots are very rugged and extremely warm. They breath quite well also, which is nice for doing any kind of still-hunting or stalking. They are very water resistant and do well in deep snow. My only hangup is that they are too large for the current bindings on my snowshoes, so that will be cause for finding new bindings. The boots also perform well as a snowmobile boot, which should be expected due to their unusual size and warmth. Very good product for the price. Hopefully the longevity is matched in that respect."
