Comfort Trac 800 gram Rubber Boot,June 15, 2009

"As soon as I put them on I knew these wouldn't work. Toe area was huge. They felt extreemly big on my feet and were hard to just walk around the house in. I returned them and I'm still looking for the right rubber boot."

"When i bought these boots for hunting ,i thought i was getting a pair of waterproof rubber boots which were comfortable and easy to walk in . Well what i got was a rubber boot which let water soak in while standing in a 15 cm deep stream , a boot which was a very loose fit and of course made your feet sweat heaps on short walks in cold weather , and we all know what that leads to, aches and pains. I would send them back, but for me postage is a killer .[ international buyer] and it would nt be worth it ."
Great Rubber Boots!!,February 8, 2009
By Walleyeman0000from Marion, IA
"I purchased these boots 2 years ago for a caribou trip to Quebec. You need a tough, durable boot for that terrian. The boots kept me dry and was extremely comfortable. I hunted all day for 5 days (all day long!).
I use these boots often. I was hunting the other day near a beaver cutting area. I stepped into a small, sharp willow cutting that I thought punctured the side of my boot. I thought for sure the boot would have ripped. No way! Not even a mark!
I was somewhat reserved to purchase a rubber boot that was comfortable to wear and easy to remove from your feet when wearig them all day. My past experience with the old rubber boots from 30 years ago gave me a bad experience.
I researched several brands and types before I purchased these boots. I made a very good choice and have been very happy with these boots!!"

"I intended to buy the Lacrosse version that was on sale. I waited too long and it was out of stock so I settled for the Cabela boots. I was impressed with how flexible the rubber uppers of the boot was. That ended when I wore the boots hunting for the first time. The outside of the boots have a rippled surface. When the outside of the boot brushes against brush while walking it is noisey. If you bump one boot against the other it is twice as loud. I am pigeon toed so this happens from time to time. This is my only real complaint. I wear reguler burly Lacrosse boots most of the time and these are quiet boots. My other suggestion would be a second pull strap simular to the one at the top of the boot. This pull strap would be located ankle high. The boot doesnt fit very snuggly at the ankle and my foot tends to slide in and out of the base of the boot. This causes leg fatigue if you walk any distance. I spend a lot of hours afield each year between hunting and wildlife photography so I wear rubber boots quite frequently. I will use my Lacrosse boots for walking and save the Cabela boots for sitting on deer stands and icefishing. Thanks for giving me oppertunity to review your product. Duane"

"For the price these boots are hard to beat! First day in the stand with these boots 31 degrees and my feet never got cold. Waiting to see how they perform in colder tempretures!! Also very comfortable to wear unlike some insulated rubber boots I have purchased in the past."

"The boots worked well until I found a hole between the seam and the sole. I took them back and they refunded me and I bought another pair. They work great. They are comfortable, durable, nice if need to wade through water. However, the boots are not good for walking on slopes or walking for a period of time due to the lack of ankle support. Overall they are a good boot."

"Nice boots that I would recommend. Haven't wore them enough yet to see how well they hold up over time and through different terrain. So far so good!"

"I purchased my first pair last fall and used them archery hunting. My first pair ripped on top of the boot were the rubber bends at the toes. I returned that pair and they pro rated the return amount because I had the boots for a few months. That was fine with me. The second pair leaked water the first time I wore them. Talk about bad luck. Will not get a third pair."

Comfortable, Warm, and Definitely All-Terrain!,January 25, 2008
By GoldSniperfrom Woodacre, CA
"After 3 consecutive winter day trips to the American River in the Sierra Nevada, I can truly say that these boots are a great buy. As an all-season Gold Prospector, good rubber boots are a must, as I'm always in the river, crevicing for gold amongst the bedrock. My feet used to freeze in my cheap $20 rubber boots, even with a thick pair of socks. Now, they are snug and warm all day, even if I'm standing in ice cold water. I never even felt remotely cold. The traction on these boots is also superior, and sticks to the terrain like tank treads. I'm always climbing over jagged bedrock, both above and below the waterline, and I never slipped once! The boots fit snugly, which makes wearing them for long periods at a time (I usually go 8 hours at a crack) no problem at all, and there are no rub points or friction areas to irritate your feet. They will seem HOT if you're in temps higher than 50, but I guess everyone has different comfort levels. I can't imagine ever needing the 1200 or 2000 gram boots, except maybe for ice fishing. You can count on these boots, 100%. They are absolutely one of the most important items in my outdoor inventory."

"Worth every cent. These boots are warm, dry and very easy to put on and take off. Whether walking the swamp or through the snow these boots are great. I have a wide foot and a high insteap so a boot has to fit well and these do."
Tendency to rip?,January 7, 2008
By RabbitAssasinfrom Rsident of Illinois, hunt in Wisconsin
"I have two pairs of the Comfort Trac 800 gram rubber boot. One first pair lasted less than one year of occasional use while hunting. The boot ripped, just above the reinforcing near the ankle area on the bottom. This occurred while stepping over some bogs in a marshy area with some brush. I dont think the boot caught on anything, but who knows for sure. A mile hike with a wet foot. Nothing in that marsh area should have ripped a quality boot. I did not get much satisfaction when I complained either. Box it up, ship it back, and see if they would do anything. Out $25.00 for that to see what would happen. So I will patch them up and use for lite camp wear. The second pair will not be used in any areas where the rubber might snag or stretch. I am switching to a more expensive brand. Good boots are important. Come on, these should be good boots, but I am not so sure."
