Good Way to Pack Meat,September 30, 2008
By Cope22104from Saint Helens, OR
"I purchased the panniers and opted out of the inserts. We packed out a big bull on 2 horses, this was a lifesaver! They don't fit well over my husbands 17" Crates, but fit great over my 16". As long as your load is balanced gravity does it's job of keeping the panniers in place. However, I would reccomend not to tie any rope to the panniers themselves to hold a hide or head as the panniers are not secured below the belly. The bags without the inserts accomidated the front and hind quarters, with the lower leg sticking out of the bags but secure. The over the saddle area protected the saddle seat from elk goobers from the head. Easy to clean, easy to roll up and pack in, easy to put on and get off. Heavy duty. A belly strap would make the load a little more secure. I have also used them to pack wood to camp and apples this fall. They really have many uses just like our equine friends!"

Great Panniers,August 11, 2008
By Kburtonwyomingfrom Buffalo Wyoming
"These panniers are perfect for people who don't want to go thruogh the hassle of putting on a cross-buck.(and because i'm only 13 the panniers make it much easier and faster to get going) you just put on a normal saddle and slide it on. It holds just as much as a normal pannier, and some. This is a great product, Thank you cabelas."

Trailmax saddle panniers,October 20, 2007
By MJinIdahofrom Panhandle of Northern, Idaho
"Worked well. I recommend using the pannier inserts and a lash cinch when hauling gear. Make sure the cantle of the saddle you use is shaped so the bags have a good purchase and won't slide."
