"I especially liked having the Gortex to help keep feet dry and not too hot. The sale price was excellent for about only $70. These boots have all the quality features I was looking for. The height is perfect for moderate marsh conditions. The leather portions are likely to last forever. Gortex is the best for waterproof as well as not trapping perspiration. Its like semipermeable membrane.....natural skin.
I recommend not tying laces too tight as interior fabric of the tongue tends to bunch up around laces causing some moderate discomfort over long time use.
I bought them for my 13 year old son who happens to be the same size 10. He wears them comfortably at Boy Scout functions too.
In a way, I'm hoping he may give up hunting so I can use them eventually. Right now, I can't justify replacing my other good ole' hunting boots yet."

"Our 12 yr old started hunting last year. With his big foot (men's 9-hope he grows into those feet) he needed something comfortable and warm for hours in the treestand. These were a reasonable price and very comfortable. They are a little heavy for a kid."

"First day I wore the boots a lace hook broke off. Other than that the boots fit like a glove. Great foot support. I haven't had a chance to get back to Cabelas to return the defective pair, but I'm sure they will remedy the situation. There warranty has been great before. All in all, I really like the boots."

"I have owned several of these boots and for the price you cant go wrong.I use them for work and hunting and they hold up pretty well. The first pair i bought years ago had a vibram sole which was much better than they have now,need to go back to vibram. Second, they need better flat laces,hard to keep tied,the round laces dont stay tied and you are constantly having to retie them.Third, they are kinda tall and heavy,if you made a 6 inch boot with all nylon they would be perfect.I like the speed laces ,makes them easy to get on and off. I drive a concrete truck for a living and i am always in the water and mud in the fall and winter,never had cold or wet feet but the leather gets dried out and starts to crack open if you dont keep them siliconed, thats why i feel all nylon would be better.I would buy the 6 point boots but they dont have speed lacing."

"When I first put the boots on I thought they had been custom built for me. I hunted in them for a few days and noticed that the speed lace by the ankles rubbed pretty good, as have other people who have purchased these boots. I stopped using those speed lace eyes and the problem was solved. After my week long trip I can say these are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. They are very warm, temps got down to about 14 degrees a couple of mornings and my feet were never cold."
