Free flight loop hook release,
September 18, 2009
By ronin44

"This is the second Free Flight I purchased. The first is ten years old. I like the full glove around the release. It does seem to reduce the draw weight by ten pounds. The full glove does make it awkward to do anything else with the release on. That's why a 4 star and not 5. I just try to think ahead before I put it on."

free flight releases,

"I love free flight releases. i have used them for over 10 years and my dad has used them for over 20 years. i have not used the loop hook release but the original is fantastic. Although, my old glove broke last year so i ordered another one from cabelas using the sizing off of the free flight website. according to the descriptions my old one was a large so i ordered a large it was huge. so i recommend buying a smaller size than you expect it will be plenty big enough. also if you hunt in colder climates you cannot really wear thick glove b/c the release covers the whole hand, but all in all a great product lasts for a long time my first lasted over 9 years of shooting on a regular basis"

Free Flight Loop Hook Release,
February 3, 2009
By RonJbowhunter
from Ennis, TX

"I bought the release and as usual it came right away. At first use, it is pretty stiff and takes some use to get it to break in. It will hurt your hand when it is new and loosen up later. It does work very good and release seems to more consistancy to shots. I did not give it five stars because it is hard to hook in non lighted areas, you have to reset after each shot, and it is stiffer than any other release I have ever used."

"I bought this release for my dimond and it has worked great. It minimizes strain on your wrist and you can pull back more weight than with other s. The only bad thing about it is that it makes nocking an arrow hard to do quickly because it covers most of your hand."

"Great fit, good design. It's my 2nd free flight product to have as I had a s.s. caliper release before. This product gets the job done period. I like the adjustable trigger pull and the feel of it in my hand. There is no strain or pull on your wrist as with some of the others. I would recomend this to anyone looking for a quality release."

winn loop release,
October 25, 2008
By craig107

"I found the release worked well. it makes you feel like you are drawing much less weight than you are. However, the release all but eliminates use of the hand it is worn on. rattling, use of game calls, or anything you do with your release hand is impossible with this release. This is a MAJOR drawback!"

Free Flight loop hook release,

By ArcherMD

"I had some reservations about an open release. I was concerned about inadvertant release or slippage of the loop from the release. It has NOT been a problem. The release is well made and sturdy. They might be larger in size than expected. Definitely would purchase again!"

"I got this release last year around July-August. I really like it. Its comfortable and makes the bow a bit easier to pull back. It has never slipped while pulling back and works perfectly every time, you just have to remember to reset it after each shot. I currently shoot off the string, but the release also works well off a loop. Overall very good and I would probably buy it again."

Not what I hoped for,
September 2, 2008
By BuccaneerBowhunter

"I thought this would solve a lot of the issues I have with wrist-strap releases....it didn't. It felt good connecting around my wrist (better than with a typical strap) but then I totally can't use my right hand for anything else but to pull the trigger on the release. The head didn't pivot very far, so there could be a bit of torque on the string loop while trying to get accustomed to the new feel. Also, I didn't like how I had to manually reset the release mechanism instead of it closing automatically with a spring. I really couldn't get used to the open hook design, either...it just felt like there was a good chance of a misfire by the string popping out if I wasn't always set up perfectly. I liked the fact that the jaw and trigger are set up so that you don't lose any draw lenghth, but I have a different release already that does that, too. I didn't notice any significant apparent reduction in draw weight as advertised either. I returned this release, which was a very easy to do at Cabela's."

Free Flight Release,
August 18, 2008
By jmxr250r

"Well i am 19 years old and i just started bowhunting last year and ive been getting tips and advice from my dad and uncle who bowhunted quite seriously back in the 80's and 90's and back then they didnt use releases so they really didnt know much bout them when i started last year. I first shot with fingers to get used to the bow then i picked up a regular old single caliper release and ended up punching my self in the mouth a couple of times so i ended up no longer trusting a release until i saw this one and boy do i love it. I mean there is really no way theis release can malfuncation causing you to puch yourself and i love how the glove like trigger is really like shooting a pistol and how it seems to lighten the pull alot. I will definately be advertising this release to all my friends and i would recommend it to anyone. Way worth the money!!!"

"I use a metal ultra nok loop and this release is not compatable with this type of loop as the release will slip off when you are drawing the bow and you will get a face full of your own fist. Otherwise it seems to be a well built release."

By SeaSwine
from Arlington, Texas.

"Smooth action and shorter than other releases I have used. I have a short draw length (26") and it allows me to get up to about 26.5". I have a trip to Africa next month and I have been shooting with it almost every day for about 3 weeks, No problems so far. I can certainly use every little bit od lenght to increase my KE. It realy seems to decreas the amount of pull on my draw. ( 68#)"
