"BUY IT!!! USE IT!!! I have been using Deer Dander for years. However, I suggest do not spray it on yourself. I spray it on 1 or 2 trees (about waist high) and let the air blow it around. When I have sprayed it on me it seemed to cause the deer to look-up more often at me in the stand. Almost like they knew it was unnatural for a deer to be 25' up in a tree. I use it more as a cover scent than an attractant, but it definitely has helped me be successful in harvesting mature whitetails. Numerous times, I have had deer come in and bed down right where I sprayed it. Also, walk up to where I sprayed it and start licking the tree. I love this stuff!!!"

"I had always used a coon cover scent until I had a coon follow my scent trail to the tree and try to attack me in a tree stand (had to beat him off the tree with my bow).
Well, last year i decided to try something new. After searching around I found the deer dander and read many great reviews on this and other sites. I decided to give it a try during the december Arizona Coues rifle hunt.
I sprayed it liberally on my boots, pants and jacket and some on my gun (I had just cleaned it and smelled like solvent and oil). I trekked up the mountain to a spot i had been looking over on my maps. After sitting for a few hours waiting for the deer to start moving across the canyon (and with the wind in my face) I heard a stomp and a snort. I looked to my side and there was a coues buck only 20ft away (later stepped this off to exactly 20ft). He had followed my scent up the mountain and walked right down the same brush path i made (i avoided the deer trails) and came in down wind of me! Well he is now hanging on my wall in my living room! This buck never smelled a human, just the deer dander and followed it in.
I also used it several times yote and mt. lion hunting (stationary) calling in and the yotes, bobcats and a mt lion followed the scent trail i left right to me!!! this stuff just plain works.
I used it on this fall archery hunt and several shooter bucks and lots of does and spikes came within a few feet of my blind and all were following the scent trail (I was holding out for a monster coues buck i had trail cam pics of, but never saw him during shooting hours).
I already ordered more of this stuff so i have enough to last me the entire hunting season for fall 09 and spring 10."

"I've been hunting for over 35 years. After trying many, many scent control systems and cover scents over the years, I had pretty much come to the conclusion that most of it was a waste of time and money. A deer's nose is just too sensitive to fool...especially with cover scents. However, after hearing a friend's testimonial about it, I bought a bottle as a gift for him and decided to try a bottle for myself. So far, after trying it out very liberally this season, it is apparent that deer (as well as coyotes) are very curious when they encounter the scent...whether on the scent trail left by my sprayed rubber boots or downwind of where I had sprayed deer dander. In fact, while in the stand several times, I am almost certain that I have had deer that got on my downwind side smell the deer dander that was on my boots and not spook. In my opinion, this means that they had to be picking up some of my scent as well...but the reaction was one of extreme curiousity and not alarm. If that is the case, then this deer dander literally served to somehow cover my own scent such that the deer accepted it. There is one part of me saying this cannot be, but another part of me is hoping beyond hope that these results continue and that there actually is a way to fool or at least partially fool a deer's powerful nose. I will continue to be a bit skeptical until I have had more results, but so far, I am becoming a believer in Mr. Fitzgerald's Deer Dander."

"We use Deer Dander alot during bow season. We spray it on our footware just before crossing deer trails out of the woods during prerut. Bucks will actually following your walking trail. Walk 15 -20 yards in front of your stand and see the positive results. Not saying you will see the big one, but you will see bucks. Well worth the money. Guy & Dan have never steered us wrong. "I use this as a cover scent mostly, to cover up my own scent, but I have never had any deer come to it, or to follow my trail. But it smells good (compared to other deer scents that usually stink) and smell like a deer so you would think not only it should not hurt but should help. "I have used this product before, so this was a re-order and the only place I can seem to find the stuff right now. I actually use it just on my boots before heading to my treestand. The idea is to be scent free in your stand and on the way to it. You don't want the deer smelling you going go your stand anymore than you want to be winded while sitting in it. The deer are already nervous enough. I have found this product quite useful in masking my boot scent. In fact, I have watched the deer smell my tracks to my stand without being spooked at all, which is the purpose of how I use it. They just think another deer they don't know passed through. Personally, I think it is an excellent product and works great."

"Been using this and VK for 3 weeks, no deer around and not even seeing them when using this. Loaded up some trees with the VK and had my camera on it, not one darn thing has come in on it. I stopped using it last week and then 2 days later shot a nice spiker with being plain old being scent free. Save your money, not worth it at all."
