Pursuing big game in the backcountry or trudging for miles over frozen ground to set up a tree stand requires a rugged, weatherproof boot that won't leave your feet soggy and cold. With rugged leather uppers, stitchdown construction, a bob outsole and GORE-TEX® booties, Danner's® Santiam protects your feet in wet weather condition and on nearly any kind of terrain.
And with 400-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra insulation, your feet will stay warm in chilly temperatures.
The rugged, long-lasting full-leather uppers add durability, resisting abrasion.

And the dual-density midsole of rubber and polyurethane protects and cushions your feet. A breathable GORE-TEX® bootie provides complete waterproof protection and allows perspiration to pass through, and in concert with a moisture-wicking lining, ensures your feet stay dry all day. Danner's Air Bob outsole has perimeter lugs for stability on most surfaces, and the self-cleaning bob lugs provide cushioning and exceptional traction in mud or snow. Made in USA. Height: 8". Danner 8" 400 Gram Santiam Boots,December 16, 2008
By forester58from Pa
"I purchased these boots 1 year ago to the date. I'm a forester and wear these boots everyday in the woods. They've been through rain, snow, mud and creeks. I've also put many miles on these shoes and they are by far the best and most comforable boot I've ever worn. Danner makes a superior product and I will never buy another brand. They are a little pricey, but the abuse I've put these shoes through, I think it was worth it.
Even after a year and they are still waterproof!! (Unlike my rockies that I bought, they were wore out in 6months and they were $110.00)"

Simply the best,December 29, 2007

"I purchased these boots for an elk hunt in the rocky mountains. The second day of the hunt we got 16 inches of wet heavy snow, and the temp got down to 11 degrees when the snow stopped. Climbing the steep terrain with all the snow and even after it warmed up a few days later which made it sloppy and greasy, these boots were by far the best choice. Traction was superior, my feet stayed warm and dry the whole trip. Awesome product."

Best boots,November 23, 2006
By BigRhunterfrom Alamogordo, NM
"Like most people I wear boots everyday whether at work, hunting or hiking. I have owned my Danner boots now for 5 years and these are by far the best pair of boots I have. I have logged hundreds of miles on the Rocky Mountains wearing these boots and they show no sign of wear. The boots keep my feet warm in the elk blinds high in the mountains and they are light enough to get high in the mountains. The sole has tons of traction. I can walk in mud, snow, rocks, and grass and have no problems slipping. It is an all leather boot, which is hard to find but once broken in will last a lifetime. If your feet are done growing then I recommend this boot because you will not need another boot for a long long time. The price is a little high but like I said my boots are broken in but no sign of serious wear. I think I will be able to hunt in them for well over 10 years. I do wear good high quality wool socks with these boots and I use the danner leather treatment products."

Danner? 8" 400-Gram Santiam Boots,November 22, 2006
By Flushnkill
"This is the 2nd pair of Danners I have owned- I still have and use the first pair, but they are very dirty and worn after nearly a decade of hard use. Simply put, Danners are the best boots I have ever owned and I will not buy anything else. They cost more, but they last forever! I bought this pair a couple of years ago because I knew I would eventually need them. I brought them out for the first day of grouse hunting in Northern Wisconsin in mid-October. Perhaps with any other boot it would be unwise to wear a pair in the field without breaking them in first, but my feet were warm and comfortable all day with cold temperatures (30's) and walking miles each day. They provided excellent support, they are waterproof, warm, and comfortable. I am certain to get a decade of use at least out of these boots."
