"Great Ax this size is nice size to pack for me,it might be a little to big to carry for most though,I attach it to my tree climber and dont even know its there, Its got a nice balance to it and seems fairlly durable.Would have gave it 5 stars but it did not come with some type of wrist strap to put throught the hole in the handle. "I recently recieved the spliting axe and was able to put it to work at the cabin... it worked ever bit as good as my splitting maul (on the type of wood I was working with) and was much easier to use due to the the fact that it was so light! I was suprised how solid it felt in my hands given its weight, as after first holding it I was real concerned it would not work as advertised (I usually use a maul).
Bottom line, if you are reading this, need an quality axe, look no further, as this thing will impress you... just don't hit yourself with it as it is sharp!"

"I ordered the camp axe to have as general use hatchet for around the house and for use on camping and hunting trips. The only time I have used it so far was on a backpacking trip through the Great Smoky Mountains NP. The axe was light to carry and was excellent at chopping dead branches for firewood. I also really like the feel of the straight handle and the balance. I am looking forward to using it on more camping and hunting trips."

"This ax splits wood very well, the wedged sides add to the easy splitting. It was very sharp right from the package. The only problem was getting used to the light handle. After using it a few times I got used to it but it is much lighter than a wood handle."
